  • She is offensive and crude. I think she hurts the Republican party.
  • Ann has made a unique place for herself in the world of screaming voices, so I give her credit for that. I do see why people can find her offensive, but for the most part I do not, because I know she delivers the facts. We live in a world which increasingly does not want to hear the facts. So the haters not only hate the facts, but they hate the deliverer. She's a tough lady, and since time immemorial, people in general dislike tough ladies-not for what they say, but for how they say it. She can handle it!
  • You need to take into consideration the composition of your audience: 85% of them are Right Wing Christian Republicans, what else would you expect? And, to answer your question, yes, she is offensive, ignorant, filth-spewing, misguided tweet who doesn't know her ass from her elbow. She should marry Rush Limbaugh and invite George Bush in for a threesome on their honemoney, they're two (or three) of a kind! Now, do a little test and watch me being DR into the minus double digits for saying that
  • DO I find her offensive? No. She doesn't offend me...I've learned a long time ago not to be offended by people's opinions (especially when they lean towards the conservative christian right) but I find her crude and crass and misinformed. She doesn't even debate, she just comes on tv and tried to cram her point down everyone elses throat...I just turn the channel when I see her....that fixes it.
  • heyyY! I have no idea who ann coulter is , :S... but I hate it when people down rate other people just because of a opinion. So have some random points from me :) ...plus I love you avatar !!! wall-e!!!!!
  • I'm one of her biggest fans She isn't afraid to tell it like it is. I saw clips of her on the view talking about single mothers and when they couldn't argue her facts they were reduced to demonizing her. btw I know some single moms that are great but there are alot who should have not had those kids
  • my answer isn't about ann coulter but i just want to let you know that my answers keep getting dr too, i dont know if its a personal attack from someone but my answers are not offensive, just ecpressing opinions. i dont think its right to dr someone because they have a different opinion to you!
  • Offensive because of her lack of manners and propriety. Bashing Edwards' wife, who had breast cancer, was the height of lowness.
  • Ann Coulter has used her femininity to distract men while she delivers her fear filled, ultra conservative diatribe against anything SHE finds offensive, liberal or having shock value. She is one step away from being a female Howard Stern. I have nothing against hearing the truth, and it is good to have someone presenting a counter point to commentary. But Ann Coulter appeals to the lowest common denomonator conservative; you know the type, they still think Sarah Palin will sweep out or Alaska in 2012 and save them from the socialistic trends of the Democratic Party. Ahem. Sorry, I digress. It is kind of scary to me, a long time feminist, to see the equivalent of Stepford Wives being presented as legitimate spokesperson, politicians and (worse yet), Mothers to the next generation. If that kind of "feminism" prevails, I will be out of here faster than you can say 'white on rice'. I view women like Coulter and Palin as the enemy of common sense, good will, collaboration, and positive approach. In December, Colin Powell, Newt Gingrich and John McCain all made statements that condemned the Barack the Magic Negro video sent out by the guy looking to head the RNC. Powell said that ppl like Coulter and Limbaugh represented the lowest of the "Base". While Gingrich (not a symbol of hand holding Kumbayah singing) also condemned the video AND asked that Republicans take time to work WITH the incoming administration rather than against. McCain, sensing that he'd gotten a really good deal in keeping his Senate seat, also condemned the video and polarization of the RNC. These 3 Republicans are smart enough to see that there is the potential for great things to happen IF there is cooperation and collaboration, have decided to ride the Democratic dragon for a season or 2 - at least until they see if the wind will change direction. Coulter, Limbaugh, Palin - all 3 could never raise themselves up to collaborate - they are too interested in personal promotion and ambition. Phew. My 2 cents.
  • Therein lies the whole problem with a "user moderated" (Write your own joke here) Q&A site. You are not permitted to have an opinion here! How dare you think otherwise! +6 for your "learning experience" and reeducation.
  • Ms. Coulter has been around quite a while, but this last Matt Lauer interview promoting her sixth(?) book was the first time I really listened to her. I believe the word for her is provocative, but if pushed she is perfectly willing to be offensive. There are good points on both sides of the political center, but it seems for the most part its the right that likes to provoke. The left might sometimes sympathize with the disadvantaged to the point where they leave the door open to lazy social behavior. I believe it is very stressful for Ms. Coulter to maintain her provocative stance. One recent interview seemed to put the spotlight on her twiggy thinness, suggesting maybe anorexia, another stressful condition.
  • I'm not sure I've seen much about this Ann Coulter person, but your all's description of her definitely make her unsavory. She sounds like every other politician and channelmonger on TV. Which is why I am quickly losing faith in this country and it's political procedure.
  • The relentless demonization of Anne Coulter (and her counterparts) by the 'objective'(?) media is blatanty bigoted, at worst, to astigmatic, at best. Sure, Anne uses sarcasm and acerbic humor to make her point (Al Franken, anyone?), but her premise is usually well researched and intelligent. I contest that much of the hapless public opinion of Anne - and those like her - is not the result of a critical consideration of her/their opinion, but a 'knee-jerk' reaction to the ambiguous 'tsk-tsk-ing' of the predominantly liberal media. Why no vitriolic outcry at some of the equally bombastic comments made by liberal personalities like Bill Maher, Al Franken, or Jon Stewart? Is 'mean-spiritedness' and prejudice only such when attributed to conservative expression? Did anyone notice those 'brilliant minds' on "The View" vociferously expressing their distaste for Anne Coulter, without ANY effort to enagage her in logical debate?
  • She's full of hate. I find her more pathetic than offensive.
  • It seems nowaday, all hate(sorry, I mean talk) radio hosts are offensive and hateful. Both sides are guilty of this and I refuse to listen to, much less support any of their diatribe.
  • Ann Coulter is too dumb to be offensive. I pity her.
  • who is ann coulter
  • If she's on radio/TV anywhere, I don't listen to her. If she's got columns in the paper or magazines, I don't read her. And I've never read one of her books. The ONLY things I've heard about Ann Coulter have been from newsmagazine shows, The Today Show, etc. I don't like her, nor most, if not all, of the things she espouses. (Same with Bill O'Reilly, most of the time, and Rush Limbaugh, for sure.) (I'm registered Republican, BTW... Doesn't mean I vote that way.)
  • Thanks to everyone who answered. In the spirit of the discussion, I have rated everyone up. It is nice to see that we can all have different opinions and still be respectful. Way to go, ABers!
  • Ann Coulter is very smart, graduated from college and law school with honors, and was an outstanding lawyer. However, she is a very partisan right-wing Republican, does not play fair, and can be very nasty. She likes to create controversy. Because she is controversial, she has a large following and makes tons of money.
  • Ann Coulter only matters if people actually listen. Kinda like Hitler. But I don't think her audience is even close to being that big by a long shot so don't worry, just ignore it like most sane minded people.
  • She's offensive but there isn't anything wrong with that. Being offensive sparks debate. What probably happened is people who don't like her at all didn't see your answer. And, others who do happen to like her did.
  • Her goal is to sell books and get face time on TV. Yes she's offensive and it is totally intentional. She does it to get people riled up.
  • Exhibit A illustrating my point that she is always on the attack. Check out how she speaks to Barbara Walters. I agree that the format of 4 on 1 is unfair, but that just happens to be the format of The View. Not debating the actions of the other hosts, just her behaviour towards Barbara Walters at the end. In fairness, some of Ann's points have a shred of truth to them, it is delivery and generalizations that are offensive.
  • Ann is the Howard Stern of Conservative commentary. Like Howard Sternm you either love him or hate him. same for Ann Coulter. Her display is intentional and shock-jockish in tone. I wouldn't get too up in arms about it. Thee are a lot of political commentaotors that really don't have an aeffect at the end of the day. Turn the dial. I have to when ever i see keith Olbeirman. That guy froths at the mouth and still only talks about GW...out of touch.
  • I lean towards the conservative end of the political spectrum, so i dont find her to be offensive. I do however often find her to be misinformed, and a bit to hasty to attack the liberals before developing a proper argument. On that scale alone, i find her to be a bad name for conservatives. I like other political pundits like Sean hannity, but NOT Ann Coulter.
  • I am a conservative and i find her completely disgusting.
  • I am a Brit, and I have only seen her once. But she struck me as utterly insane.
  • ANYONE who is dedicated to a cause with total dedication or feels extremely strong about something seems to be a offensive to a degree to most people. So YES. I even like her veiwpoints alot and still find her offensive!
  • Ann Coulter is an embarrassing mess brimming with hatred, ignorance and total lack of humanity. She excels however at taking small bits of information and embroidering them to appear to have merit. I am a former republican. People like Coulter, Newt, Rush and the whole army of bible thumpers drove me away.
  • Not being American, I don`t know a lot about Ann Coulter. So I did a little online search, she does seem to use a lot insulting & derogatory language. I wonder if she got enough attention as a child? Anyway I could not take her seriously, in the dry world of politics it is sometimes very welcome to have someone so opposed to the p.c norm. I found these quotes - After the September 11 attack masterminded by a terrorist hoping to spark a religious war, virtually every official and pundit knew better than to take the bait. Except for conservative commentator Ann Coulter, who wrote in a syndicated column on September 12 that in responding to terrorists "we should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity." and this To a disabled Vietnam vet: "People like you caused us to lose that war."---MSNBC However I must say I agree 100% with this! "I have to say I'm all for public flogging. One type of criminal that a public humiliation might work particularly well with are the juvenile delinquents, a lot of whom consider it a badge of honor to be sent to juvenile detention. And it might not be such a cool thing in the 'hood to be flogged publicly."---MSNBC 3/22/97
  • You are not, but you have to remember that the freedom of speech and the right to disagree are one of the foundations our country was founded on. What I find odd is that there are more Liberals amongst the Vietnam veteran population and others that have actually served in the armed forces while many of these Conservatives never even came close to risking their lives for the American way of life. I have many uber-cons call me unpatriotic, yet they never served a single day in the military. They never took the oath to support, uphold, and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. They say they are defending America, yet they never put their money where their mouth is. My point there is that you have to realize the types of people who are here. A broad cross-section of society, each entitled to their opinions and the right to voice them. Some of them are people who are legitimately offended that you do not take Ann Coulter's words as gospel truth, and they will DR you. They have that right, just as you and I have the right to tell them to eat a dick.
  • Ann Coulter does not deserve a question. She should disappear.
  • Ann Coulter needs a brain transplant... or better still a brain to begin with ... she is an out right stupid cow, a racist, a bigot , a right winged bloody looney
  • Ann Coulter is an attention whore. I hope to goodness sakes that she's not as stupid as she comes across. "Perfected Jews?" My anus.
