  • Sorry, I had to be brief in the above question. She also defacates outside of the litter box. Her "coughing" is like she's trying to spit up a hairball but can't. When I first got her and took her to be spayed, I found out she had a hernia, which I got repaired. The vet said she had an extreme amount of excess fat that could have been due to some underlying cause. I haven't had the money yet to get tests done. She has been gaining weight at what I feel is a very unhealthy rate over the past couple months. She's to the point where she doesn't move around much because it's difficult for her. I am going to get her some diet food this week... I have a feeling that there may be something more wrong with her though... Any ideas? Your answers are very much appreciated!
