  • There are already many theocracies in the middle east. I think Saudi Arabia is one of them. They use sharia law as absolute law. It scares me. If you mean something different with this question, like a huge new territory under Islam, the only place this would happen would be the middle east, with a whole lot of violence included... Let's hope this is not going to happen (and no, I'm not bashing Islam, I would say the same thing about Christianity, look at Bush 'one nation under god', his country was founded by secularists!, but at least America got separation of church and state, therefore I'm really not happy about what Islam does with sharia law...).
  • This is only a brief opinion (without much detailed research). I dont think muslims can achieve their Islamic nation (it was created by the Prophet -PBUH- and has since collapsed) and I dont think it will reform because of human greed in Islamic countries (as well as in the rest of the world). I think it will not reform until/unless either Jesus(PBUH) returns or a miracle (unexpected) source of power occurs (e.g. world reserves are discovered to be much lower than stated and the few countries that have significant oil are Islamic & decide to unite). Islam's nation should occur in the future, but (personally) I dont think its next. I think its another different superstate first (e.g. either China/india or United states of europe etc...) with more chaos to come.
  • Most nations in the Arab League are Islamic say the whole Middle East excluding Israel, some Balkan countries and Turkey, then you have the largest Muslim Country which is Indonesia. If you mean a solid Islamic Nation I would think it could be Indonesia which is not far from being one.
  • Iraq? Pakistan? Saudi Arabia? Afghanistan? Indonesia? Jordan? UAE? Egypt? Morocco? Just a few off the top of my head guesses. :-) +4
  • I don't think we really want a nation of our own. I know that was a key thing that Mohammed PBUH was striving for, but it has nothing to do with true belief of God. If there were to be some kind of nation, I guarantee that Medina would be the capital city however. If you are going to associate religion to nationality (as some nations have done) then, looking at the core of Islam, Medina is Mecca and our most holy city. This would be the logical place to start. I hope that there is never a push for an Islamic nation. I feel that it would actually take away from the truth behind Islam. There are so many things that could be done differently just in todays world that would fix a lot of the worlds problems and an Islamic city state is not one of them. As a muslim living in America, I have seen a lot of different view points on the same topics and I have seen a lot of interesting proposed solutions. They have ranged from, Nuke the middle east till it's a parking lot, all the way to, kick all nonmuslims out of any muslim nation. The sad truth is that there is a simple solution and it lies in the greed of the highest powers in Saudi Arabia and Iraq. For those that are unaware of a lot of Muslim practices, we pay Zakat every year, it's like a payment to the religion that is supposed to go to the poorest people in the religious community to help with food/shelter/clothing/medical needs. If a NATION is islamic, like Saudi Arabia, I feel that the nation should have to pay a Zakat as well. If Saudi Arabia payed 2.5% (standard Zakat) of it's oil profits per year to the church, there would, within 3 years, be less poverty in Saudi Arabia than in the USA. If the people were all helped to that point, there would be less conflict because quality of life would be better and people would be much less likely to care about attacking anyone. If all Middle East nations did this, there would be a start to peace in the middle east through Islam and people wouldn't see it as a barbaric murder machine. That's just my opinion, I could be wrong
