  • Obviously too late to answer, but although I don't like Harper (neither do most Canadians), I don't think Dion is formidable enough to beat him in an election anytime soon.
  • I think Dion,Harper is disliked and will not be around much longer for he is a useless lier.He got Canada involved in Afghanistan, which most Canadians disagree with.He is out of touch with the needs of the Canadian public.
  • Harper will dissolve the government. I think that the conservatives will be re-elected as a minority government with more seats. I think that Jack Layton and the NDP will gain more seats as well. It looks like Stephan Dion and the liberal party will lose seats mainly because thier "Green Shift" platform involves taxing fossil fuels. I do not want to pay even more for gas and power which I believe is already too expensive and I don't know if I will be able to afford to heat my house this winter as it is without adding more tax, so I would pick Harper over Dion. I even calculated my "estimated" income tax returns on thegreenshift.com. It said I would get an extra $300 back per year. which I know wouldn't even pay for 1 heating bill.
