My computer was hacked and now its screwed up what should i do other then getting a new computer?

uhmm sit around and play with yourself, read a book, go see a movie unless your prepared to gut it and install new parts, you don't have many options if the HD will even work you will need to completely format and reinstall an os, but it may still have problems after this depending on the hack/virus

Reinstall the operating system from the original restore media. You should also consider upgrading to Linux (which is free) so as to greatly reduce your chance of being hacked. http://ubuntu.com http://www.linuxmint.com

After you reinstalling the Operating system as people say here, make sure to install Norton. I stopped counting how many times Norton prevented hacking my own computer (I got notifications about it).

Here is the IDE cable = the flat ribbon about 2.5 inches wide: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822145216 Put in the new drive and start all over again with a reinstall. Then add anti-virus first thing. Just make sure you get the right cable style for your computer.
