  • Iraq had nothing whatever to do with 911. Saddam Hussein hated al Queda almost as much as Bush. Unfortunately Bush used the tragedy politically, and clearly implied that Iraq was behind the attacks. That was the moment I lost any vestigial respect for him that I had once had.
  • Your 2nd here is, as they say, the "$64,000 Question"! ;-)
  • According to a single document that was "mysteriously discovered" in Baghdad in 2003, Saddam entertained Al-Quaida people who were later involved in the 911 attacks. Maybe gave them some money, too. Some people think that Bush had the paper forged to back his decision to go to war. http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/presidentbush/2008/08/forged-document.html It's just a question of who you want to believe--these investigative reporters, or the President. http://blogs.abcnews.com/rapidreport/2008/03/exclusive-us-mi.html
  • In short, it doesn't, and no one ever said that it did.
  • I don't think invading Iraq was a good idea. What America has to learn is that it'll take another Saddam to restore the peace! And no I don't think they would've!
  • I believe the bush administration used 9 11 to get the american people to support the war. If 9 11 didnt happen, the Bush administration would have found another way to invade iraq. I think some people believe there is a lot of speculation behind what happened with 9 11. The war was supposed to be about "weapons of mass destruction" (which we never found). In the end, i think it was just about g w. bush wanting to find Saddam Hussein (b/c Saddam threatened his father's life (big bush) during the late 80's and early 90's) and finish him off. (And, the bush administration accomplished that)
  • The neo cons want every tyrannical regime to be topled and the fundamentalist christians wanted it to be made powerless because it is part of their strategy to bring the coming of the messiah closer. 911 was basically the opportunity they were waiting for to use as an excuse to invade Iraq.
  • Iraq has nothing at all to do with 9-11. The only reason that they invaded Iraq was to get to the oil. 9-11 was, in my opinion, an inside job in part or whole, to justify the war. They invaded the wrong country though, didn't they? And now, even when the error has been admitted, they refuse to pull out. If they had not wanted this war so badly to begin with, and used 9-11 to get it, they would pull out immediately upon learning their mistake. 9-11 was indeed the Pearl Harbour that they themselves said was needed.
  • Yes. The whole plan (911, the "war on terror", the invasion of Iraq, the Patriot Act, economy chaos) runs under the umbrella of the evil New World Order agenda to dominate the world. WW3 is around the corner. My 2 cents. http://www.threeworldwars.com/world-war-3/ww3.htm
  • Probably. The UN documented humanitarian crisis, coupled with the steady treaty violations of Saddam could have forced an armed solution. . As far as 9/11, IMHO, Iraq was taken down to cut off support of AQI. Saddam had a jones to hurt the US, but couldn't do so directly. Suddenly the World Trade Center is down, the Pentagon has taken a hit, and AQI has a huge resume' enhancer. . Iraq was about logistics. It is one battlefield in a bigger war. . When AQI decided to make it their battlefield and found enough Iraqi traitors to make it happen, the US got the chance to destroy AQI. We got lucky, because that was tactically a stupid decision and strategically, too, as it turned out. .
