  • No. Ah, that was an easy answer :)
  • No i dont but i cant speak for the rest of England im afraid:-)
  • I'm sure there are some Britons who feel that way, just as there are some Americans who feel themselves to be superior to Britons.
  • I don't understand the point of this question, it would seem to me that you are attempting to spark debate. It also comes across that you hold the belief that we do see ourselves as superior. Personally, I don't see myself as superior to anyone, and I'm sure many other people, including yourself I would guess, don't either.
  • There will all ways be a bit of a superioroity struggle between nation's but I don't think I am better than any one else British American or otherwise. I am just me and there isn't any one else like me :)
  • They should. Afternoon tea is about the best idea ever.
  • Well, lets see, we are just as intelligent as each other. Crime rates are getting pretty much even, your health care is, on a whole, better than ours, but then our military is, on a whole, better than yours (skill wise, not equipment wise). Also, both countries are useless at electing intelligent people who are best for the job, although after re-electing GWB I do not think there is any competition there, Britain is superior to America in that respect. (BTW ours = British, yours = American). In general I would say we are neither superior nor inferior to Americans.
  • No, you're thinking of the French. ;)
  • they should :)
  • even the Welsh are more superior to Americans
  • historical note: if we(americans)hadn't come to your aid ,twice, you'd be speaking german...i rest my case..
  • I am a Brit, and no people dont think there more superior unless there a posh twat whos thinks up most high of themselves. Everyone is equal not matter what people say or think *_-
  • britain is the mother country of the usa. we are the rebels. rebels are always thought of with distain.
  • 'Historical note?!' What a stupid comment (above). You didn't win the war for us and should have come to our aid a lot sooner, actually. Study your history books.
  • No. The British lead lives of quiet despairation. They believe that they are inferior to most other nations of the world. We, on the other hand, know for a fact that they are not inferior to China, Russia, or Cuba. ;-)
  • Not really, but then again: YES! or not? They just can't make up their mind.
  • I think there is some truth there but its how the media portrays you...and the fact that you put bush in the hot seat just gives our press more ammo....i mean the man is a complete dumbfuck..no offence ment..but ive met a few Americans when i visit Amsterdam and although they seem to be loud and brash, when you get chatting to them there a good bunch of guys..But ive always wanted to visit the US and find out first hand.
  • Listen. Us brits are superior to anyone <sarcasm> Nope not me.
  • not while gordon browns in downing street
  • Unfortunately the Yanks get a pretty bad press globally (Bush really has not done you any favours) and I would say that in the main - Yes brits do think themselves superior to americans (and everyone else). Sorry.
  • I think that we speak better than Americans but beside that we're pretty much the same. Me personally, yeah I am better than the Americans but I'm better than the English too. nah I kid
  • If they do, they shouldn't. If they do, they're stupid.
  • no we all superior both of us.
  • Yes, they do as we broke away from them remember.
  • yes. for sure, we dont hear the best reports on american peoples behaviour.
  • They should because they were the one who discovered America and most of American population then was British and most of Americans today have British ancestors.
  • I don't really think so.There is just some kind of competition among the most important people in the world. America and Britain are the most important countries in the world with the most superior people. So both people in these countries are a very special type of people, superior to all others as they are used beeing successful over centuries and making the rules for the whole world.
  • I'm British, and I can assure you, we are superior to Americans.
  • There is no real superiority. British and Americans are No.1 among all other people in the world and therefore both of them are extremkely superior to all otther people and nations. Both people belong to the most important countries wit a superior and unique politics in the world and even countries like Russia have to follow their commands and rules. Two outstanding ad No.1 nations always are in a situation of competition. Without America and Britain nothing would go in the whole world.
  • you got to be kidding me. Americans are consist of so many diverse peoples with different heritige and backgrounds, although British is almost consist of anglo sexon.
  • Nah,the probability of it being the other way around is far greater if you look objectively..
  • Doesn't everyone think themselves superior to everyone else?
  • Indeed the British are superior to any other European nation. This is a real matter of fact and it is the duty of the rest of the people to accept this kind of fact.
  • No us Scottish do not see ourselves as superior to anybody else.
  • Nope. That's a problem rich people have.
  • There are some British people who hate the Americans but equally there are some who respect the Americans. This however is the same with most countries. I also can say that with regard to Britain there is much opposition between England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales - I just think there is way to much hate around.
  • No, I think they're both great people :)
  • British and Americans feel superior to the rest of the world and regard all other people on this planet as inferior scum. This way both people have been treating the rest of the world. Other people do not have any kind if rights and are after their opinion and attitude on a lower level than any beast. So the real rulers of the world are the British and Americans.
  • Britain and America indeed seem to feel superior to the rest of the world which they regard rather inferior and uncivilzed. But there is also a competition among the British and Americans as well. But America is much bigger, much more powerful as Britain ever can be and so Britain often feels only like the little poodle of the USA. (This is not from me but from some British politicians.) Indeed if you compare America with Britain, it is clear that Britain can not compete with America. Britain had the choice to join the EU as a counterpart to North America and the other new big centers of the world but Britan was clearly deciding against Europe and tries to go its own way against Europe. We will see if this was a good decision for Britain.
  • Who knows, I knew a student (in college visiting from Belgium) who declared that Belgium is the the most superior nation on Earth. As Chainsaw stated, "everyone thinks they're superior to everyone else". Just look at Lakers fans, they'll tell you. ;)
  • no it`s the american`s know we are superior
  • Most of the British I know think that. So do the Aussies which I find really funny. Americans think they are superior to everyone. But then who is generalizing. (LMAO) This is all stereotypes I realize that.
  • I don't I think most are equal,I only look down on those who think they are arrogantly outspoken and aggressive towards others, namely terrorists.
