  • I was also married in Cuba back in 2006 and have been separated for over a year and I live in Manitoba. I've been trying to get a divorce or some direction on what I need to do to get the divorce and it seems like I need to translate my marriage certificate to english then register my marriage in Canada, then go through the process of a regular divorce in Canada. I thought that there could have been a way to keep my marriage and divorce all in Cuba without involving Canada, but it seem impossible to get through to Cuba. I too have no children or assets with my ex. I have a spanish translator trying to contact the Cuban Notary, but I seem to only get the run around. If you have any information on the process of your divorce, I would be happy to share ideas on how to get this divorce done!
