I want to know how to legally disown my father. He has been a terrible father and is married to a woman that has driven a wedge between us for years. It has been so devastating to me over the years. I want make sure that he has no legal right to my kids.

This is really not possible. You can always dictate who your kids are to be cared for upon your death, and you are certainly free to not associate with your father. But there is no legal procedure to "disown" your father because you don't, in any sense of the word, "own" your father. -
