  • It stings a bit but it's not terrible.
  • You still pondering over the memorial tattoo for the baby you lost? Depending on where you get it, it can feel like hard pressure from a dull butter knife to just a dull burning feeling.
  • A small one will be nothing at all. Don't think about it as being "painful", and it won't be. You're over thinking this whole thing and making it out to be ALOT worse than what it is, believe me.
  • Like a skinned knee, without the pain of hitting the ground.
  • depends on where you get it, as long as it is a fleshy area it really shouldnt bother you that much, a mild iritating like a pinching or someone is poking you, at worst it will feel like someone is scratching you. just keep away from taunt skin or bony areas for your first tattoo as those will be the most painful.
  • I have numerous ones and they all felt different. The one on my foot hurt the most. It feels like a heated pen dragging into your skin. Not too pleasant. If you are worrying about the pain, do not get one. That shouldn't be a factor.
  • It depends both where you get it, and What type of tattoo. I've got an Infinity symbol over my heart, and a Starburst tattoo over my Bellybutton, and neither hurt - it was mostly a little pressure, and a somewhat pleasant tingling/tickling. Shading done can hurt some, but not much, but tattoos over bone, and shading over bone - Hurts quite a bit. My mate was getting a tattoo on his back, and described the experience of shading on bone as "Unplesant" Though he used much shorter words that mostly you can't say in front of your grandmother.
  • depends on the location, in areas where ther is more "meat" is not so bad, but in areas on bone, like the top of the feet, the hands, the back (over your spine) can hurt a little more. I have 7.. they all hurt a little but you get used to the sensation after a minute or so...
  • kinda annoying. kinda of a burning at first. stinging kinda. hard to explain........but after the first few minutes you will get used to it. if it's your first one, it may take a little longer to get acustom to
  • It also depends upon where abouts on your body you have the tattoo done. I have heard that having a tattoo on loose skin, say around the belly button area can be quite painful. But then I have also heard that having a tattoo on bone (eg ankle) is quite painful. Shoulder blades feel a bit irritable, but too painful. If its your first tattoo just dont go for anything too big.
  • Painful. But mine only took about 20 min so I knew the pain wouldn't last forever. Plus, you can't yell "Stop!" and leave with half a tattoo! Didn't hurt afterwards at all.
  • I've heard it described as if you had a sunburn and someone was drawing on it. And I would say that that's about right for most of the places on my body I've gotten one.
  • I would discribe it as like have a sewing needle scraped quite hard accross your skin. It's like a stingy/burn sensation that stops withing a few minutes of the tattoo being completed. After that - as it is healing - it itches like crazy but you MUST NOT scratch it. That was the worst bit for me. The pain is different in different places. The top of my arm was ok (that one lasted 45 minutes) My shoulder blade was the best, I got really used to it and switched off to what he was doing. (that one lasted 1 hour) The top of my thigh/hip really hurt (but that only lasted 20 minutes)
