Desktop, by ACER INC. And just for the fun of it, I'll see what my specs are. Processor: AMD Athlon(tm)64 X2 Dual Core Processor 4400+ 2.30 GHz Memory RAM: 2046 system type: 32 bit And the graphics card is a Nvidia GeForce(I forget the number, but it's late 2007 tech) 256. And for the price of $3500 total, it's still worth it :)

Desktop Dell. My Apple Powerbook G4 DIED last week and I just got it back from the repair shop where it received a new hard-disk drive. The shop couldn't retrieve my data, so the machine is "as a new-born babe." I'm looking into a data-retrieval service, but I think the LEAST it can cost is $300. :-( I had backed up some, but not all, of the Apple's content. I use the Dell more of the time than the Apple, but I had some photos and writings on the Apple that I will sorely miss if they can't be retrieved. Anybody have data-retrieval advice for me? (Other than "Always remember to back everything up every day, idiot.")?
