keep it cool say ok thanks or give them the thumbs up sign i just do that and dont change my emotion. later when the guy that someone said likes you is near you talk to him then ask him out after you become good friends

Just say "That's interesting. thanks for telling me." Be real cool about it. The person may be just "pulling your chain" and it may not be true at all.

I would say >. cool. Good for them. ( if they want to make something of it, they would tell you themselves )

I'm just usually like "really? no way...that's cool..." and then see where it leads, if that person tries to pursue something or not...and if i like the person or not..

i just usually smile and say ok... thats cool.. but relevant how? and then the person will kind of mumble... even if i am excited, or freaked out, i keep my emotions under the surface. the grapevine travels faster than you think, and the less you show, they less they know. btw: don't ever trust the person that told you any secrets. they've obviously just proved themselves to be huge gossips. :)

I think if you already like the person you should smile and say "you really think so"? But if it's someone you don't like I would try to change to subject.
