no, most companies make you earn days by coming to work, you must work the days first to earn them, that is why you won't get vac until after your 1 year date

workmans comp is based off of previous earnings from your employees. So if you pay your employees vacation pay, it will be assessed in your next workman's comp payment because it is based quarterly.

under normal circumstances, you would have exhausted your vacation pay prior to going on workers comp. as time off the same way you would have exhausted your accumualted sick time. in other words, it is cutomary for an employee to utilize vacation time, sick days, personal time, ect. to cover the gap between being eleigible for worekrs comp. the other factor is if your employer has disability insurance. in short, they, th workers comp. carrier has zero effect on vacation pay
