I'd write down what you get each time. Maybe you'll find out you're allergic to sesame seeds or something. Maybe the restaurant is dark and then you go outside and it's super bright. Maybe the same group of over-perfumed old ladies always sit near the door and assault your senses as you leave. *shrug* 90% of MSG scare is just hype. Only a very small number of people have any *actual* effects and I'm pretty sure I've read reviews saying they had the same results when they were told a non-MSG dish had MSG in it (so, placebo).

It could be the sodium. Chinese food has a very high salt content. The current RDA for soduim is less that 2400 mg. A typical Chinese lunch could satisfy your whole day's allowance...and then some. Consuming that much sodium in such a short time might cause a sizable headache by temorarily raising blood pressure. If nothing else, it can throw the body off. Still tastes good, though. http://www.cspinet.org/nah/chinese.html

Almost anything aged for a time in quantity can do it, the fermented soy or tamari, the rice wine in many sauces, some tofu as do cheeses like aged cheddar. Plus sometimes being around certain scents or perfumes, cleaning products can do it. Or a combo of these making for a 'migraine soup'. For helping a migraine try using EFT that you can learn here. http://www.emofree.com And here is a video that shows it being used for a migraine. I use this and it usually works very well for me.
