Yes, although there are difficult days, it's very nice to be alive.

As a recovering heroin addict, I get pleasure out of life everyday. I overdosed in 2002 & I treat everyday as if it were a gift. I am so blessed today & grateful for what I have. I do have some crappy dyas, but I try to look at the GOOD things that happened that day & not dwell on the negative.

I get a lot of pleasure from life. It's not always nice, but I'm bloody lucky to have it.

I'd hate to be a downer all the time, but I try so hard to be upbeat about life , but sometimes I can't. The only pleasure I get is from my computer and my internet connection.

I have had a great life, so far. A powerful husband, many different interests, many friends--though too many have left this earth--and we have traveled a lot. Things have slowed down, we're older, but we still laugh, and sometimes,we get real silly, it's hard to believe, but we giggle too. And best of all, I think, considering our age group, we have no friends who tell us about their illnesses (we have our own) and no friends who whine about taxes (they can afford to pay them, just like us) and no friends who complain about the lack of service in banks, or restaurants, or how difficult air travel has become. (We know already.)
