I like a toasted poppy seed bagel so all those little seeds can stick in between my teeth all day and no one tells me about it. I like a good schmear of cream cheese.

Funny you should ask. I haven't had bagels for years but picked up a dozen of regulars with all kinds of seeds on them the other day. I top them with almost anything-cream cheese, butter, and schmear(sp?) of all kinds. After years of English muffins, I've rediscovered the goodness of bagels.

It depends on the bagel. We have a place that basically serves only bagels in my town. When I go there, I like butter on cinnamon raisin, cream cheese on plain, sourdough, and toasted almond, and then nothing on French Toast bagels (they're my favorite and come with powdered sugar on them). But I'll pretty much each either one on any kind of bagel I'll eat. Except plain. for a plain bagel, i DEPEND cream cheese.
