In the 1980s there were murder cases that have grown cold involving prostitutes in Connecticut. A wooded area near a rest stop on Route 8 near the town of Harwinton, CT was a dumping ground for bodies. My Mom, sister, and I are very interested in The Black Dahlia Case for some reason. We've all read numerous books about it. We used to live fairly close to where that happened. I'm not at all sure that it will ever truly be solved.

Not far from where I live, a 16-year-old girl named Molly Ann Bish was abducted and murdered while she was working as a lifeguard. For some reason, the story really resonated with me and made me almost sick with anger and worry. Her parents initiated the largest and most expensive search for any missing person in Massachusetts history in order to locate her and her abductor. As far as I know, authorities have little or no information as to the identity of the killer, but after 3 years, her remains were discovered near the pond where she was working. After 8 years, the case is still unsolved, but I hope it doesn't stay that way. It was a senseless waste of a promising young life. http://www.mollybish.org/
