My husband and I each have our won accounts at different banks. I pay all the utility bills and he pay the house payments, groceries, gas for the car and all other expences.
-
Because me and my s/o havent been together that long (2years) we each have our own bank accounts and then we have a seperate one that we each pay a certain amount of money in each month for all the bills and food shopping and it works pretty well for us, and then we dont need to worry about anything!
-
We have one account and I do the budget and pay the bills.
-
Just officially moving in today!
-
we have separate accounts. I make a lot more money, so I pay a majority of the house bills. my s/o pays car payments and insurance, credit card, her half of the health insurance and about half of the groceries.
-
When I was married, we had one acct & I handled the money. When I lived with someone, I had my own acct & he gave me cash for food, rent, etc
-
I keep most of my funds on a separate account, but keep a joint account for some bills.
-
We keep our own accounts and have a joint account into which we each deposit 50% of our income. Because I make more than twice his income I end up paying for more than twice our expenses. But I also end up keeping more than twice the amount he does. Incidentally we also have a prenup that will split our assets in the same manner, if our marriage doesn't work out.
-
Right now, our accounts are separate and we each have bills that we pay.
-
We used to put our money together (for the most part) but everything has been pretty much separated.
-
We have a number of different accounts. It's the easiest way we have found to manage our income and make sure that everything gets paid off. We're VERY lucky not to have a mortgage hanging over our heads. I'm a stay at home mother, so the money my husband gets paid goes into a joint account of ours and then we have a series of direct debits that come out to pay for certain things. We have separate accounts for things like school fees, charities, sponsorship programs, business investments. Everything we own, everything we earn, is for both of us.
