Until just 3 years ago we had a horse ranch, not quite a farm, though we did have chickens and goats and steers, pigs, all that, besides the horses. We bred and showed Appaloosa horses. I loved it though it was alot of work. Not easy to go away for vacation either but we found friends would love to stay out in the country and we could go off and adventure. I Loved the quiet, the smells, the animals, the satisfaction that comes from doing something real and not something in a cubicle indoors. Time was of our arranging. Seasons told us when to do things, not the clock or somebody else.
