Although too late for the test in question,
this website looks at the plausibility and morality
of both the New and the Old Testaments
and is well worth visiting:
http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/
It also notes many absurdities and contradictions.
The Bibl is so easy that a child can understand it and there si no contradivtions. mark is an action story
luke is an historical account
John is more technical sand delves deeper into the tehological aspects
matthew is more like a jounalistic approach. I think Kuke and Mark are the easy quicker reads. Joh- you definltely have to think and ponder and mediditate on that on to get it.
A little late to try to add anything for your test, but I saw that you have a pretty impressive collection of Bibles and Bible related books. Here are a few links to online resources and another link to some late additions to some manuscripts such as the Textus Receptus, if you are interested. http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/7133378 /././ http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/7025764
I hope you did well!
The Acts of the Apostles is the second part of The Gospel According to Luke.
I think that a good place to get ideas is www.biblos.com
I use it all the time, especially if I am researching something and want to get a parallel look at a specific scripture across multiple versions of the Bible, or get multiple viewpoints, or some historical background on a passage of the Bible.
The Bible is very confusing and has many contradictions in it. The New Testament, as opposed to the old, has A LOT of mentionings about hell. I'm just wondering, Noldea, why are you taking a religion class? Do you go to BIOLA or something? I thought you were liberal.

You're reading I have a test on the Gospels tomorrow for my New Testament class. Do you have any nifty facts about the Gospels you'd like to share to help me on my test? (keep in mind that my class approaches the Bible as literature).
