Um - athiests don't believe in god. So, nobody to hate and no heaven not to get in to.

It would be silly to spend time hating something that I don't believe in. I do think religions are a little silly in that they teach you have to behave a certain way to be granted access to a heaven, I'm tend to do good for goodness sake and not for a reward.

Now that's really strange. Think about it, questioner, isn't that a paradox? We don't believe in God because God is sending us to hell for not believing in God. We defensively stop believing in god because we secretly believe there is one. But if we believed in heaven, and believed that god wasn't sending us there, then we would believe in god, wouldn't we? And then we wouldn't be atheists, and we would go to heaven. But then. Wait, this is making my head hurt. Okay, if I track this back to the not going to heaven part, why is it you think we're damned aside from being atheists? Are we just bad people who are going to hell, who THEN become atheists to try to avoid hell? Or do we just hate god, and aren't really atheists at all? I'm just trying to track the cause and effect here. I don't understand how we can hate something that doesn't exist. I also don't understand why we would care about heaven if we don't believe it exists. Maybe this is just your way of saying, "ha ha, you're not going to heaven!" In which case, sure we're not, but you're not either. So ha ha yourself. :)

Um... no. Atheits don't HATE gods, they just don't believe in them. There's a fairly big difference. If I die, find out I was wrong all along, and end up in Hell, well, then I may have some negative feelings for the guy.

I actually do not hate God (or in my opinion, the idea of God). I've been an extremely devout Christian the majority of my life, raised in a Christian home, so I deffinetly never felt hate toward God (which is weird saying considering I don't believe in a god). I always shyed away from "scientific knowledge" and "evidence" because I always feared (no matter how strong my faith was) that I would find solid information disproving the existence of God. Really this question isn't very relavent to an atheist's beliefs (or rather non-belief).

The question is flawed however the premise could be drawn that athiests hate 'the concept of' God. Their hatred of the concept could then be directed to those that believe in God.

Atheists do NOT believe in God. How can we hate something in which we don't believe? Its entirely illogical. Therefore, speaking on behalf of atheists everywhere (which I have never done before) no - we don't hate God just because we know that he will not be letting us into heaven.

Yes, I hate God because he is not going to let me in heaven. We had a long discussion about this and I begged and begged him to let me in and that I didn't mean to eat his last piece of cake. But, he said no and now I'm doomed.

I consider myself a devout Christian, and although I'm giving you points to ensure that you know I'm not downrating you, this is the stupidest question I have ever seen on this site. . And that's saying a lot -- so congratulations. . Athiests don't hate God any more that I hate the Easter Bunny. From their perspective, God is a human invented fiction. I think they're wrong, but you're accusing them of attributing motives to a being they do not believe exists. . I will clue you in on one little thing -- when someone puts forward an argument or question that deliberately misstates or distorts the position of his/her opponent, it's a clear indication that the this person is incapable of carrying on a real discussion. Asking questions like this does nothing but create the suspicion that you're incompetent to hold a real discussion.

Atheists dont believe in a god. So they dont believe in Heaven. Atheists almost always need that "evidence" or else they wont believe in it. But wait... Alot of Atheists (and obviously other people) believe in luck... so thats a total contradiction... A true Atheist would have to be someone not believing in any type of evidence if he/she doesnt want to contradict themselves... lol im good ;)

Hatred tends to be best served religious-style. A much-needed LOGIC lesson for you: 1) Atheists do not believe in God or Heaven 2) There is no reason to "hate" what you do not believe in ---------------------------------------------------------- 3) Atheists don't typically "hate" God(s)

I've pretty much decided to just quit answering any questions regarding religion or atheism because it's pointless. But then every once in awhile I come across some backwards, silly question like this and have to laugh. Atheists don't hate god, they don't even believe in him..so how can they hate him? We don't believe in heaven so why would we be mad for not getting to go to a place that doesn't exist? What I do hate is presumptive people that should be acting better than this if they are religious and should be more concerned with their own butt getting into heaven because as far as I understand NO MAN no matter how religious or good he is knows he is going to heaven any more than anyone else. Lastly, I take this kind of a question as an opportunity for someone to stir the bees up and argue. That's cool if you want to debate religion but this seems more like an attack and well to be honest, I would expect better behavior from people claiming to hold the moral highground.

I don't hate God because I don't believe in him. Serious flaw in the question there. No, heaven, in my opinion, does not exist. I have no proof, and if you do, please show me. I'll be glad to listen if I think you're speaking sense. Sorry, but that was a really thick question. If there was a God and there was a heaven, then I'd be the one who's wrong, however the whole idea is so medieval I can't see why anybody can believe these days. That doesn't mean that I'm against people who are religious. It's fine if they are, I just don't agree. I don't like people to speak about Athiests like they're stupid though.
