  • Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie; That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
  • He hasn't exactly protected me from all lies, but I'm getting better at reading people. I can read you like a book.
    • Cry me a River
Is there any truth in my dealings with scripture? Or are you just not concerned? It is all about coming to the knowledge of truth and it,s grave importance, this morning

I'm just not AS concerned as you. You seem to be searching for redemption by the scriptures without Jesus.
  • i doubt it
  • Not if it involves changing your avatar and username repeatedly. lol
  • There are two realities; truth and lie. No matter how you spin it; if you would rather believe a lie what can anyone do to change your mind. Case in point; you didn't state the scripture but if take the context of what the Apostle Paul was saying starting in verse 3 of 2 Thessalonians 2:3 "Let no man deceive you by any means:" KJV Paul was encouraging the Christians to not allow themselves to be led astray. Look a verse 9 of that same chapter says "Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders," KJV here this scripture is showing that the lies are coming from Satin himself, not from God. So what does God do with these people who would rather believe the lie? Verse 11 says "And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:" So He [God] allows everyone to believe what they want. Have you ever been in a situation where you knew the truth about something or someone, and no matter what you said you weren't believed? Same with God, He does not directly send this "Lies” but lets it go to the deceived ones in order to prove that it is what they really want. Hebrews 4:12 says in "For the word of God is alive and exerts power and is sharper than any two-edged sword and pierces even to the dividing of soul and spirit, and of joints from the marrow, and is able to discern thoughts and intentions of the heart." Do you see the point? The "intentions of the heart." This is brought out in James 1;14,15 "But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn sin, when it has been carried out, brings forth death." NWT the very next verse says "Do not be misled, my beloved brothers." So basically God will let you believe a lie. It is up to you to do your research and find the truth. Which believe me is not easy. My suggestion is start with the Bible and then compare what is written to what religions teach. Don't limit yourself to only one Bible. All are useful, although the New World Translation is easer to read. Here is a link to a book entitled Insight on the Scriptures, it is a research book, but I feel you like to do research. I hope you enjoy it. https://www.jw.org/finder?srcid=jwlshare&wtlocale=E&prefer=lang&pub=it
