How do they determine the amount you get from social security benifits at 62 years of age?

    It is somehow based the the highest pay earned for a certain number of years. It is also reduced when you take it before age 66.

    It's a complicated formula, but if you call, write or e-mail the Social Security Administration (I'm sure they have a website) they can send you the information.
