  • It seems the Catholics aren't always strict about their rules. I think they would think it more important to give last rites than to pronounce condemnation on someone for not abiding in every one of their rules. The Bible doesn't address what constitutes a marriage and the ceremonies of today are only formalities and legalities according to man's laws, not God's. The commitment of love is all that really matters. It's the heart that links us, not a pronouncement or a piece of paper.
