  • NAH PILL. INJECTION!
  • anything is possible but i would never take it
  • Even if ther was something like that, they wouldnt give it to us
  • Unlikely. The most feasible solution currently appears to be creating a digital model of your brain. You would still die but your digital replica(s) could live on. . Another notion is that there are already people in the process of living for eternity. If the people who freeze themselves really can be brought back to life later through medical advancements then it is hardly fair to say they are truly dead while in the frozen state. They are simply alive but frozen and would die if thawed without proper medical care (*not currently available). Also, anyone unfrozen would eventually die again so they can only live for eternity in this fashion if they stay frozen for eternity.
  • I certainly hope not.... Death occurs for a reason. Sad but true and very necessary. That is the ebb and flow of earth, people are born and people die. The population is kept in check and in balance.
  • I hope not. Imagine that. The worst people in the world ravaging and plundering unstoppable for the rest if this worlds future. They would be the first to take it. All the selfish and greedy and hostile. Yeah- you say- but put them in prison. The the rest of us support their evil asses for ever and ever as long as this planet exists. No thanks. 80 years (on average) is plenty long.
  • I think there will be genetic engineering & stem cell treatments & other new medical technology that will minimize/virtually eliminate certain diseases that limit age span (diabetes, heart & mental disease, cancer). I think that if we're alive 20 yrs from now & relatively intact - we will see 100+ yrs. Unless you wanna commit suicide, get hit by a bus, etc. It's not eternity & it will present a whole diff set of issues....like what to do & how to live after retirement (40+ yrs.)
  • I don't want to live 4 ever!
  • No. Living one life for eternity would become a problem in it's own right.
  • I doubt it. and if so, not for many many many life times.:) i dont think id want to live forever though, would you?
  • Since most don't want to live forever, it speaks volumes about how our culture values life! Just use the proper enzymes to shut down the correct genes that cause aging! You will want to do this possibly at age 30 because that's when the body stops growing! It's not that difficult when you think about it!
  • I certainly hope not!
  • You can already attain eternal life. The solution is not physical, but spiritual. Seek, and you will find.
  • Religious nutjobs aside, I think there could be something to aid regeneration of cells, since we know that the reason they die in the first place is because of lysosomes... I couldn't say for sure, but there must be some way to alter our genes to do it. Death is 'programmed into us' anyways - we don't die by accident, our body shuts down on its own if it stays alive too long, and it does it on purpose.
  • Eternity? Probably not, but who knows? Indefinitely? Yes. If you had a tiny robot that would replace all your brain cells, one by one, with artificial replicas thereof, perfectly emulating the actions of the original brain cell, your consciousness could be transferred to a medium that would last much, much longer than our current squishy brains do now.
  • No, but probably abit longer, life expectancy in the past 50 years has changed and grew alot due to all the new technologies and medications.
