There are family get togethers on both sides but me and the hubby decided to stay home this year with the kids. I'm making a turkey with all the traditional foods that go along with it.

We are going to my brother's house this year. We'll have turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, corn, sweet potato casserole, greenbean casserole (which I will NOT eat), cranberry salad, parker house rolls and a variety of pies. I'm taking the sweet potato casserole, a green veggie, the rolls and a bluberry crunch pie.

The husband will be home for the holiday-so of course I'm gonna cook. It will be two meals. One for us (the parents) and another one for the picky kids. You know, french fries next to the mashed potatoes, biscuits next to the date bread. A raw fruit plate next to the fresh cranberry relish and Dr. Pepper in the glass instead of wine. We'll eat the apple pie and they will down the skittles. Oh, and we will get all the veggies! I can't wait until they get older and bring their wives over. I miss cooking for crowds.
