1 - Try replacing the cable and see if that fixes the problem. 2 - If #1 doesn't work, borrow a friend's laptop and plug the old cable into the monitor and into the lappy's video out port. If the monitor works normally, then the problem is in the tower's video card. Replace the video card. 3 - If #2 didn't solve the problem, plug the lappy into the monitor using the new cable. If the blue screen is gone, the problem is in the old cable. Use the new cable. 4 - If #3 didn't solve the problem, then the problem is in your monitor. Replace the monitor.
