I do not believe in anything supernatural like that.

Atheism can be defined as the state of disbelief or non-belief in the existence of a deity or deities. Since the devil is almost entirely associated with a God and could also be classed as a deity of some sort (a prenatural being of significant power) then I would say that the majority of Atheists do not believe in the devil.
-
I am athiest / humanist and I do not believe in God or the Devil, I have always thought the two kind of go together. I do believe people can be good. I do believe people can be evil. I just don't believe this has anything to do with any higher power.
-
Speaking only for myself, no. Right and wrong, good and evil, all come from within us humans. We all have to decide whether to hurt or help our fellow man and we can't blame it on a devil.

I would say that almost all atheists (people who are actively convinced that no God exists) don't believe in any higher powers or entities outside or above the universe of physics, It would be most illogical, therefore to believe in the Devil, but not in God. Atheists tend to get cross when religionists imply that lack of religion implies lack of morality. In fact some believe that it is actually more noble to behave well without any belief in a higher judgement. Rather than being good from fear of punishment, like a naughty child who can't tell right from wrong for himself. I'm not saying that is my view, and I am not an atheist, but it is best for us all if we can try to understand and respect each others positions. Agnostics are another group, not so much talked about, but in fact probably at least as numerous. They do not believe, or disbelieve. Some because they think it is not possible to know, some because they simply haven't decided. My mum always says she is a "wistful agnostic". Isn't that sweet ?

I never did. Atheists do not believe in any kind of deity like that.
-
For the same reasons I don't believe in a god, I don't believe in a devil. I think most atheists are probably in agreement on this point.
-
The only essential characteristic of atheists is that they lack belief in deities (i.e. that they are not theists). So, the technically correct answer is that it depends entirely on whether the devil is defined as a deity or not. However, statistically, most atheists not only lack belief in deities, but also in supernatural entities in general. So, I'm pretty certain that most (although perhaps not all) atheists also happen to lack belief in the devil.
-
no god = no devil we are all equally capable of good and evil.. its up to us which one we do.
-
no
-
No..no heaven or hell..no devil or god :)
-
i won't speak for others, but i don't beleive the devils exists. i can see the possibility of a god, but the devil just doesn't make any sense whatsoever to me.
-
No we don't believe in any religious things and the devil is a religious image to represent evil there for we don't believe in him either.
-
Evil spirits maybe, but not a devil. The only reason why people don't believe in God is because of these dammed religious leaders that always say, "You're going to hell!" The people that say this are also on their way, they just don't know it. The only one that can send you to hell, is you.
-
i don't! the idea of god seems far more feasible than that of a personage who is out there to tempt me.
-
I don't believe in either.

The thing about Atheism, is that you can't apply everything you know about atheists to the entire atheist community. It's not an organized religion, so the answer is going to differ greatly, depending on who you ask.
-
That depends on the particular atheist. I consider myself an atheist, and I don't believe in Satan any more than I believe in God. I believe there are elements of both "Good" and "Evil" in the world, but I don't believe that they are personified by a "God" or a "Devil". I can't speak for all Atheists, I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who don't believe in "God" (Or at least not the Christian conception of God) but do believe in Satan or some powerful evil entity, but those beliefs have nothing in particular to do with Atheism.
-
Not all atheists believe the same thing, but generally, one would expect that an atheist would not believe in God, gods, devils, nor faeries.
-
subconsciously, atheist may believe in both GOD and SATAN, but if they acknowledge that they believe , they are then subjecting their self to his judgements, remaining neutral, they may feel that they will have a safety zone or an excuse for not following god, but god will not be mocked, good or bad , we will all receive our reward
-
I don't believe in God or the Devil, But I do believe in Ghosts and Demons.
-
As many have already said, atheists differ from each other and none can speak for others. But I have never met an atheist who believed in the devil.
-
They cannot deny the evidence in the mirror.
-
I don't believe in gods, devils, visiting extraterrestrials, aliens helping with the pyramids, Atlantis, psychics, faith healers, astrology, or any of the other crap that some people like to believe in.
