Well, my husband became disabled and we had to work with only about 1/4 of the money we had become accustomed to living with. It was very hard and we lost a lot, but I learned how to stretch a dollar. It kept us from living in the streets and starving. Now, I know the importance of saving and in spending within my means. That was a hard lesson.

I was raised to be very frugal, and I always have been. When everyone else had to cut back, that brought most to the level I have always operated. I am very grateful for being brought up that way.

90% of the problem has been solved by be careful when I sepndmoney...the smallest amounts add up.
