Military personnel aren't payed very much. What percentage of his monthly pay is $250. You are enjoying certain medical benefits are you not. What other benefits do you enjoy while he is serving. Just some things you may want to consider. Best regards

Military pay is not much. I pay $650.00 a month plus provide medical, dental, and vision in California.

the amount is limited to what ever the amount of BAH he was receiving when the child support order was enforced. If your ex was a private, and the order went to the joint uniform military pay system, they will not change it due to promotions. it is a federal law. reason for the law, many service members were being forced out of the military because the child support obligations were such that they couldn't maintain themselves (buy uniforms, or other military obligations) and also a service member can be separated if they are in debt to a degree that it becomes a security risk. if the person works in a job that requires a high level security clearance, they can also loose the security clearance and be separated from the military.
