Because funerals are so Gosh dang Expensive. And they dont want to leave that on their kids or they want to help them out. Funerals can cost alot. We paid up to $10,000 for my Mom's
-
im guessing because they know that there family and friends will be devastated and so paying for your own funeral instead of your family/friends will take a little pressure off of them
-
So they don't burden their families, I guess. I can't say I've ever known anyone who's actually done that.
-
Because it is a very expensive thing and they don't want to leave the burden for their families to have to worry about/deal with.
-
Not only do people do so because they don't want to burden their family, but my grandparents prepaid because they wanted to make sure the funeral arrangements were done the way THEY wanted them.
-
because funerals are very expensive and people don't want to leave this world leaving others with the bill.
-
It's just an extremely considerate thing to do for their families.
-
Some want to express their preferences and ensure they will be carried out. Some do it to save their families money. Some want to relieve their loved ones of having to arrange and pay the funeral.
-
So there familys won't have to deal with it.
-
so their loved ones won't be burdened
-
It's less expensive if you pay for the grave and headstone ahead of time. The price of mortuary services can also be prepaid in some places, too. Ever price these?
-
One less thing for your loved ones to worry about or deal with! :(
-
Funerals are very expensive. It's hard enough to be mourning the loss of a loved one on top of having to have to be planning a funeral when you are greiving. They are just saving their loved ones from the burden of having to go through all the planning. If you can afford to do so, it's actually a great idea.
-
They do this so you dont leave your family in a world of hurt..so you can help out a lil bit so they dont get hurt by it
-
I do think that folks have their loved ones in mind. However, I also think people just like to buy things and it's one more thing to buy.
-
Because it eases the burden on their families plus they get it exactly like they would like it, instead of putting it on the shoulders of an emotionally distracted family member and hoping it is done right.
-
They're dying to try it !
-
They dont' wnat any expenses to be paid by the family.
-
they don't want to increese bordon on there families...
-
So I don't burden my sons -- + up

I like the question. We have heard 'let the dead bury the dead' but that is contrary to 'do unto others as you would have them do unto you'. I don't think you are correct, relatively speaking, when you say 'so many' do this.
