i would say no.

Absolutely not. I also think it wholly acceptable to BRIBE the child into eating various foods. "Eat your green beans and we can have a cookie after dinner." Works like a charm.

I once told my son, when he was probably 16, to try one of my "noodles". He loved it. If I'd have told him before he tried it that it was squid, it never would've entered his mouth! So, honestly, I don't see why telling a 3 year old it's something else would be any different.

My daughter always refers to a rack of lamb as salad, and my ribs as soy sticks. I love that, gets on the vegans last nerve.

Absolutely isn't.

It's ok to to that. It's good so that they get to eat what ever is best for them.

No, I don't think that is wrong at all. In fact, when I was little I didn't like my Mom's Gravy at all and she would have tiny pieces of meat in the gravy and something about it just didn't taste good to me at all! So, my Mom decides to buy a package of gravy mix and call it "sauce" so that I would eat it and it definately didn't taste the same as the homemade gravy and it even tasted better! Later on she told me what she had done.
