If you have a garage, invest in rat poison. I wouldn't use it if you have a driveway as someones dog could eat it, or worse, the parent who never watches their child - the child might ingest it.

Use fabric softener sheets under the hood, dont put near anything too hot but animals dont like them.use along fender area etc. Good luck bud

First if something had eaten through your starter wires it would have been impossible for you to go antwhere in that car. You need to watch some shops and there so called word. As for the intake manifold problem, dyer sheets are good but what caused the animal to nest in the first place. Is it an every day driver or has the car been sittin. Depending upon youcars make and model the intake may be plastic and the animal could have chewed through that, or in through the air box and intake to nest. You should have had symptoms of power loss before the breakdown among other warning signs
