  • Cruise on Royal Carribbean! It's the best cruise line out there. (my opinion only!) Also, sign up for email deals on cruises.com.
  • Try getting information in Orbits.com
  • Try looking up in Orbitz.
  • Your question is quite broad and difficult to answer although fortunately you will have plenty of choices. As a veteran of nearly 50 cruises, I can tell you that cruiseships, cruiselines and cruise destinations are as varied as the passengers who board them. All cruiselines have deals and all claim fun (perhaps some, like Silversea are lacking deals and don't tout fun as much as luxury). As for a "couples" cruise ship, I am not aware of any exclusive ship devoted just to couples but Celebrity has several “Celebrity Escape” adults-only (over 21) sailings. Questions to ask before you cruise: What can you afford to spend per person? Cruises are all-inclusive to some degree (cabin, meals plus on-board entertainment) but bar drinks, sodas, spa services, and shore excursions are extra. How many days can you afford to get away? Cruises range from 2-day "cruises to nowhere" to 130-day around-the world voyages. Most are in 4, 5, 7 to 10 or 11 days however. Where do you want to cruise to? Cruises go to every continent. American 1st time cruise passengers enjoy cruising to the Caribbean Islands, Bahamas, Alaska, Hawaii or Bermuda. Do you mind flying to where you embark or do you only want to drive to the closest port? Many people live within driving distance of a port and this can save you money. What kind of cabin will you be comfortable in? Inside cabins are cheapest but are windowless and may seem cramped (although use of mirrors can create the illusion of more space). Many ships feature balcony cabins which are both romantic and handy. Do you want to meet lots of new people or would you rather keep yourselves? Some cruise ships have fixed seating at dinner time, some have alternative or anytime dining and some only have a few tables for two. Most people sit at large tables with other cruisers. If that doesn't appeal to you then look for cruise ships that offer flexible dining options. Do you want to get dressed up or do you prefer to be casual? For casual, don't choose a cruise that has any or many formal nights although on formal nights, you can always eat at an alternative restaurant or in your room. Are you considering getting married on board or having a special occasion? Most ships contain small wedding chapels and meeting rooms. Some cruiselines many allow onboard weddings taking place in the couple's home port, with guests disembarking before the ship sails but this is rare. Is having an on-board spa important? Is having children's facilities important? Is having a casino important? These are just a few to consider.
  • you need to narrow your search a bit. Where do you want to cruise.. Caribbean, Alaska, The Med.. etc.. RE couples cruising.. some cruiselines have one or two time off cruises for specific groups.. there might not be a couples cruise but possibly adults only cruises (usually meaning 16yrs and above). Carnival Cruise Lines and Royal Caribbean can have some good deals, but again.. all depends on where you want to cruise. You can have a look at Vacationstogo.com and see what they can offer as well.
  • I have cruised almost 50 times and so much of what will make you happy depends on time of year, length of trip and itinerary (port charges, etc). Since you are going in June, it is not too early to book and it is before the real hurricane season starts. There are no "couples" cruises but there are "adult-only" cruises--primarily in the Mediterranean. Start with www.carnival.com for budget-type cruises and work your way up to Crystal, Regent and Sea Dream Yachts to help avoid the children for more discriminating cruisers. Remember, the lost cost "deal" offered will probably have many "extras" added on and that $499 7 day cruise could be closer to $1,000 when you add port fees, security fees, drinks, excursions etc.
  • Since you didn't say so, I'm going to assume 7 day trips. Of course, airfare is always extra. You didn't suggest a home port, so I'll just list a few deals that I saw. Early June is a good time for one-way trips to and from Alaska. Check out Holland America for deals from $500 and up. If you are looking for the Caribbean, Carnival has a good deal out of San Juan (my favourite port for leaving from, because of the Southern Caribbean.) If you prefer to leave from NYC, consider NCL. Royal Caribbean has a good deal out of Los Angeles for Mexico. Out of Miami/Ft. Lauderdale, the best deals are from $699 on Carnival. The best European deals are with Costa, from $739.
  • The Regent Seven Seas Cruises is good cruise line to consider. They have planned destionation almost on all the major tourist spots and they have reasonable deals where cruises are at an auction at half the original price.
  • Most all cruise lines have good deals and fun trip. The only exception are the 5-6 star cruiselines like Silversea that cater to the ultra-elegant. 1st decide where you want to cruise 2nd decide how long you want to cruise 3rd decide why you to cruise (relax, sightsee, explore, snorkel/dive, hike, spend time at the spa, eat & drink to hearts desire...etc) 4th decide exactly when you want to go and see if there are cruises that match your desires 5th decide what your priorities are in terms of price, time, convenience, etc. 6th decide who best serves your needs
