  • That little set if lies they tell us from the time we start school .... That we have the right to speak, the right to believe, the right to privacy and the right to pursue happiness...... and that the courts will defend those rights should someone infringe on them. What they don't say is you DO have the right to speak, so long as the government approves, you DO have the right to believe the religion you choose, without infringment by anyone else... but ONLY if you believe in the "RIGHT" one..... You have the right to privacy, so long as they can peek.... and you DO have the right to go to court when your rights are infringed upon.... so long as you'll shell out more money than the offender..... That is what they are jealous of....
  • You forget your freedom to NOT gamble. Amongst many other things!
  • Well, perhaps in years past, George W. Bush's statement about our freedoms might have had some validity, but right now, nobody can take our freedoms from us, we allowed George W. Bush to do that already -- He is taking away our freedoms at every opporturnity, using terrorist-style fear tactics, and the wrath of God to keep your attention focused elsewhere.
  • The freedom to question our government publicly on the internet.
  • George W. Bush's presidency is the pernicious enemy of the American freedom. The President of the United States owe the American people an apology.
  • 1. The right to Free Speach. This doesn't mean you get to say anything you want, but you can critize your governement without fear. Just watch the news one night. There's lots of critizing going on and nobody gets arrested. Ask someone from a communist country or dictatorship what happens if you try this. 2. The Right to Freedom of Religion not Freedom from Religon without fear of the government tossing you in jail for your beliefs. If don't follow the state religion you will be jailed in other countries. 3. The Right to Bear Arms and Protect yourself even against your government. Ask someone from Darfu what's it's like to not have this ability as your government funds and arms militants against you. 4. The Right to Vote and be a part of your government to the point you are the boss not it. Other poeple are dying for this right and yet only 40% of us can be bothered. The rest just whine. 5. The Right to Live as you want and not as your government thinks you should. Ask a homosexual from somewhere else what happens to them in their homeland. Usally they're killed. 6. The Righ to Assemble. You try to protest in another country and you're a gonner. Just ask a monk from Burma. 7. The Right to not be searched or to have belongings taken for no reason. The only time this is suspened is during times of war and only if the government can prove it's nessary. We are at war and the terriorists are here. They proved that on 9/11. 8.The Right to Petition the government. This doesn't mean they're going to listen to you. Other goverments could careless what the people want or how they feel. 9. The Right to equal treament under the law, to have council, and to not be maliciously prosecuted through double jepourdy, all trials are public and you can have a jury. We also have the right to bail. In other contries secret courts are the norm and the accused usally doesn't even get a lawyer and there is no appeals process. The victem usally doesn't get to tessitify. The use of a jury and bail are unheard of. 10. If the Bill of Right and the Constatution doesn't say the government can do it they can't do it. These other countries don't even have a constitution. The government can do what ever they want with no redress. We gave nothing up to this administration that we didn't have prior knowledge of or agree too. During every war before this we gave up certain things to our governemnt in order to protect ourselves. There were even enternment camps for US citizens of certain back grounds on our soil. During the Cold War we were all subject to being investigated. We didn't whine and we didn't cry and when it was all said and done we got the few rights we "lost" back. If you want to see an actual loss of rights look to the Nazis, the Communists, and the actions of the regimes in power in the Middle East. If all our government is doing is listen in to telephone calls and watching internet usage we have in all honestly lost nothing because anyone can do that if they know how. Big marketers having been doing it for years.
  • The list is long. Your right to ask that question would be first!
  • if your a women in the middle east you can be killed just because a man says so. korea no freedom what so ever. in china you can only have one child. there are lots of places with no freedom or live a life that makes our poor look rich because of there country.you have the right to stand up for what you believe. other countrys you would die for that.
  • Freedom to ignore the geneva convention. Freedom to break UN directives. Freedom to invade other contries. Freedom to use WMDs. Freedom to torture. Freedom to bomb. Freedom to kill indiscriminately. Freedom to do all these things with complete impunity and STILL tell the rest of the world they are the 'good guys'. That's the freedom they want.
  • Freedom to enjoy this delicious seven-later crunchwrap my brother just brought me home from Taco Bell! Yummmm.
  • You should ask what freedoms do non Americans have from the American government.
  • been on vacation so havent seen all this. my point was here we are free to do what we want with our lives. in other countrys you dont have that right.lets get back to the question. first steve asked a question which i dont agree with but freedom gives him this right
  • Freedom not to choose Islam.
  • I would think that Americans do have a lot of freedoms that doesn't sit 'right' with people who have less...but this is George Bush 'doublespeak'...who knows what he means when he opens his mouth?
  • not being allowed to smoke in the pub that doesn`t even serve food?
  • Freedom to behave like an agressive superpower and invade other nations at will, and ignore all globally agreed human-rights treaties in the process - while critizing other counties for human rights violations. Freedom to have no global credibility or respect whatsoever.
  • Freedom was once, it's become a thing of the past.
  • Clearly a controversial question, I think it's my time to jump in. Instead of listing what freedoms we have, I'll list what we DON'T have any more. habeas corpus-gone. illegal search and seizure-gone speedy trial-Can't have that in guantanamo bay! cruel and unusual punishment-see above XD I'm quite sure there are more, but im way to lazy to go and find the rest.
  • I love these chats, but I tink these greedy men will have little time to pull off their ambitions with people awake to their destructive ambitions. "they" didnt have a problem with us until we kicked their doors and brought our political manipulations and "democracy" to them. they have power over us right now the way any customer has over the business offering them deals. its the same relationship. DR me but service and honor are not the same thing. it is not an honor to serve men like Bush or Obama, its an atrocity. but having said that will make me a few enemies. just keep watching your brain box and allowing FOX news to tell you how you feel. to the open minded though I would say all things in their time. after all we are creeping up on our "apocolypse" more effectively labeled a precipace of change.(however you spell it)
  • Exactly! A lamest excuse couldn't have been uttered by those mentally retarded lips. Whoever came up with that one surely was one cocky son of a bitch
