  • Park the truck and let the engine cool off. Use the dip stick and see if it needs oil, also see if there is water in the oil or if the oil is dirty. If it does not need oil, or the oil is clean or without water then I suggest you take it to a mechanic Tow it to a mechanic. If dirty, change it, if there is a need for more, add a few quarts (as needed) if there is water in there tow it to a mechanic and find out why. It could be anything from a faulty gage to something getting ready to break which will cost you a Brand New Engine to repair. To many potential issues are there to diagnose the problem on what little data we have.
