  • EDIT: I don't consider 50 to be old at all.
  • YOUNG!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trust me!!!!!!!!!!
  • There are people that reach 50?????????? dinosaurs! Haha ... It's the new 40!!
  • Its old - lets not kid ourselves...but on the bright side its not as old as it used to be : )
  • I'm almost there, 2 years and 2 days to go. When I was young, 50 was ancient. I feel pretty good, so I will say not so old.
  • I hear 50 is the new 30 - there are soooo many baby-boomers as we who were born in the 40s and early 50s are so affectionately referred to. I used to think 50 was old - when I was in high school, my mom was 50 and that seemed ancient. Now I'm 58 and I think it's pretty cool. I wish I had felt this good, looked this good, had this much confidence, and appreciation for my lifestyle when I was younger. But alas, sometimes with age comes wisdom...
  • When I was young, 50 sounded ancient. They say that old is always 20 years older than you are. But now that I'm in my mid-50's (for awhile yet, smile), I like to see people my age behaving like elders and not trying to 'act' young. To everything there is a season.
  • YOung, young, young...(are you getting worried?)
  • personally I don't but funny how age works. when your young 50 looks very old when your reaching 50 it is depressing and scary when you hit 50 you think hey I dont feel any different. when you pass 50 by you say to those 50 and younger. ah your haven't lived yet wait until you get to my age.
  • Life really did begin at 40 for me so 50 is still a kid!
  • I am 54 with a 3 year old and a 6 year old and we are considering adding to the family, believe me 50 is not old I in fact cannot believe people think it is. The children keep me young I feel I am 30 going on 50 with more emphsis on the 30 :)
  • Anybody ten years younger than me must be young because I'm not old.
  • I turned 50 this year. Fifty is not so bad. There's alot to be said for being as young as you feel. Exercise, etc, are important aspects to looking and feeling young. BTW, this is payback for me. I lost my hair before 21 and people used to think I was years older than I was; now they think I'm years younger.
  • I think it has alot to do with how you have spent your 50 yrs once you've gotten there. If you were a coal miner all your life, yes , it's very old. If you spent it doing things you love with people you love and you have good health and lots of prospects then it's not old at all.
  • I'm 37, so 50 is ancient, until I get there, then it will not so old.
  • 50 is still young...that's my (fifty-year old) story & I'm stickin' to it! LOL
  • i would have to say young anything over 60 is old :)
  • 50 is the new 30. So 30 is the new 20, and 20 are newborns! So says Hollywood..
  • 50 is not old and not really young either.
  • No so old. I am almost there too!
  • Not so old
  • I never thought 50 was old, 60 maybe, but not 50. I can't believe I'm over 50...can't believe I'm married to such an old guy that is a few years shy of 60! lol!!! I think that having a well balanced spouse has really helped me keep age in it's place. He doesn't care at all and so it makes me feel better. Is 50 old? Nah! It's not even not so old. It's just another stepping stone to a new journey you haven't finished, just another train stop, the next view out the window........But when it gets to me I always remember that no matter how old I am....my mom is almost 20 years older! LOL!!! That got me through the 40s easily, thinking that it can't be all that bad because my mom is in her 60s! lol!!!
  • Rickster,my friend to quote Jimmy Buffett..."I'm growing older, but, not up!"
  • The closer I get to 50, the less old it seems!!
  • I consider it not so old. It really isn't!
  • A lot of factors involved. To someone who lives an unhealthy lifestyle, 50 is old. To someone who lives a healthy lifestyle, it's not. Also genes play a huge part.
  • Well, I can't say I'm young anymore (at least with a straight face), so I'll go with "not so old".
  • when I was younger..back in school...sure, 50 seemed "old." but, now that I'm in my mid 40s, 50 looks pretty fabulous!
  • I'm 53 and I know I can still keep up and even out do many younger people in many ways ...including in the bed room !
  • My brain is young & my body's not so old.
  • My mom turned 50 this year...and she's not old.
  • Wow! Didn't know I was keeping company with so many people around the magical age of 50! I am 54, amazed that I have been around for half a century, feeling fine and not old! I like to be around people of this age because they usually have become comfortable with themselves and life around them.
  • young!!!
  • Young. Most of my friends are about 50. As well as many of the guys I've dated. If they can keep up with this 29 year-old, they're not "old."
  • Since I'm 53, I'd say 50 isn't so old that you can't enjoy every part of living!
  • Truly 50 is just fine <on anyone but me> :)
  • Not so old. I'm in my 50's; with age comes wisdom. The mind strengthens as the body weakens.
  • I consider it not so old. My mom is getting closer to 50 and she's still young to me.
  • not so old. My mother just turned fifty, and she looks great and still works a zillion hours a day. I'll never know how she does it - I can only hope I have that much energy at 50!
  • I think someone who's 50 is still young. When I was a teenager I used to think that 40 was old but as you get older and "wiser" you realize that 50 is still not so bad. I must say that cause I'm half way to 50.
  • Not so old! I'm 44, and hubby's 49. I may even be persuaded to go with young! Of course, when I was 15, I thought 50 was old and washed up.
  • 50 is not old in fact I think You are as young as you feel. I am 58 and I am still very active.
  • Not so old. But it really depends on each individual person.
  • Not so old.
  • Fifty seems middle-aged to me. 50 is in the middle of 100 and people are living to ripe old ages these days.
  • I used to say "Sooooooooo oooolllllllddddd." Now I think it is a reasonably attractive place to be in life and definitely Not So Old! Way better than the alternative - which for any Ageists out there, can strike at any age!
  • Having recently turned 43, I'll go with "not so old".
  • I used to think 50 was old. Not anymore. We are all aging and getting older. You are only a day older today than you were yesterday. You are as young as you feel! http://ohioline.osu.edu/ss-fact/0101.html
  • Nope ! I just turned 43 and I sure as heck don't feel old. 50 is still young in my book.
  • Since I hit the fify mark myself, the younger it seems to me!
  • Not so young, and not so old...I'd say a kind of middle ground.
  • Just those three choices? I turned 50 this april and feel not so young anymore how about that?
  • I'm 36. I believe age is really a state of mind. 50 is young!
  • I turned the BIG "50" in September and got me a motorcycle and on my birthday i went by myself and got my first ever tattoo. i am officially a BIKER CHICK. I love it. Me and my hubby love to travel on our motorcycles now it is so much fun.
  • this question is a relative question in so much as where were you born and when, the usa and canada are very similar insomuch as language and diet religion etc.But in most third world countries the life span and age are drastically different, e.g canadians live approximatly the same as our southern neibour 76 and in bagladesh 44. Ten thousand years ago we lived 38 and thats not much different from the third world countries of today.People think that oh yeah you live longer and means you live the most part of your live being old longer, quite the contrary people are staying young longer. If you do not agree look at mick jagger, god gave the world mick jagger to prove the point that aging is relative 50 is not old,nor is 37 yes i'am and i'am proud to have made it i recenly started working out ant quit drinking and cut down on by smoking. And after being discharged from the hospital from a 72 day stay,I was id several times here and there, when asked my age my response is how old do you thind i'am and they say 24, and i say how in the hell did you quess that,i reply you must be psychic,at 37 i can do a 4minute38second mile, one must age with a positive outlook no regrets no dirty laundry,or the famous if only, what the f k it's total bull sh t old dogs can't learn new tricks; My grandmothers on both sides look younger that their children grandma Macdonald lived to be109 and still had all of her mind so what if she forgot someones name in them109 years. the average person in a life time will meet on the average 1000o ten thousand people .and thats the averge. on my moms side my grandma dickson is 96 and is as sharp as a wip. Active all her life, raising hundereds of kid's each and every one of them were important to her and today she has upwards of 500 grandchildren scatered around alaska yukon california chicago new york, And when talking to her some of the people she she makess reference to are them old people she say's o look at so and so they can barly get around, them old people she was talking about are 20 years her junior. 50 in our world is not old,50 is the age of enlightenment every thing that you believed to be true in later adolesents ,becomes all so insignificant. The next question is how old do you feel.I'am sorry to say and i will continue to say i suffer from an abstract affliction of prolonged adolesence.Ask mick jagger if he feels old and he would look at you with complete astonishment. and reply explain to me what does old mean?
  • Yah 50 is old
  • I read somewhere in a magazine that 62 is the average age people considered a person to be old.
  • They are YOUNG! Im gonna be 50 one day, and nobody will dare to tell me that I am old. It is true that the body gets older, but that doesnt mean the soal is old! There are people in their 20's acting like their 80 or something, then there are people in their 80's who still makes jokes like children and enjoys the little things in life. I dont think 50 is old, unless you act old!
  • Age fifty is young enough to be old and old enough to be young!
  • when my grandparents needed private room at night, andthey had celebrated their 85 wedding aniversary? age is just a number.... unless law is involved...lol
  • Age fifty is the beginning of your sixth decade of life. Hopefully you will get through your sixth decade without developing cancer or heart disease as many people do. Fifty can be joyous and you still can feel young but practice moderation and you should still feel "youngish" when you reach sixty.
  • young, 60 is old.
  • I'm 52 so 50 is young lol.
  • I consider age 50 to be exactly the middle age! This is evidenced by all the members of the "Smucker's Club" who have reached age 100 or better. My favorite quote regarding age is this; "age is a matter of mind, if you don't mind, it don't matter." Every age is what you make of it so why not enjoy! Klikitmd.
  • I consider it to be old, but not that old.
  • i'd say old but it depends on how the person is (stayed in a young appearance)
  • Depends on the person.. Young and Old are more than just a year... Before they moved, my grandparents used to go visit the "old man on the corner" ... He was 91, they were 87.
  • When I was a child, a person about 2-3 years older seemed old for me, when I was a teenage, a person after 20 years seemed old for me.when I was 30 I was afraid even to say this number. Now I think that even 60 is a young person.I`m not afraid that time when I`m 50.The most important I think to have the good health, have an interesting life ,and answer as interesting questions like this one.
  • These days that is young
  • In my opinion, 50 is neither young nor old. I suppose that's why they call it "midlife." I'm past 50 and it was sorta the milestone for me that I stopped wearing anything outside the house that remotely branded me as trying to look "sexy." I say, "if you can't be young, be elegant!"
  • Well now since I'm over 50 , I'll go with '' young '' lol + 5
  • Age anit nothin but a number
  • omg thats half antique dood omg i cant believe how old that is omg...
  • If you plan on dying at the age of 100,then I would call it middle-aged.
  • Middle aged. Not so old.
  • i consider them not so old
  • 50 is not old these days
  • What kind of question is that ? IT IS OVEOUS 15 IS YOUNG : )
  • I consider fifty to be young.I'm almost there and I refuse to think of myself as old!
  • young. but I never thought I would live to be 47. I thought that was old.
  • I would say that 50 is not young buut no where near old. I'll let you know when I get there. :-)
  • Old enough to know a thing or two. Not old enough to have an excuse to waste away. Young enough to have no excuse not to live!
  • I turned 50 this year and 50 doesn't seem old to me. I like where I'm at and the men my age look pretty darn good too! I'm vegan so that helps physically and mentally as well as emotionally. 50 and lovin' it ;)
  • I'm fifty-nine and I don't feel a day over sixty. Actually, I've never been this old before. by taxigringo.
  • i just turned 50, and yes datz old for the majority but i workout, lift weights like a feen, surfing, do mma for fun, and honestly look 30 and submit the 20 year olds.... bottomline use it or lose it.
  • Not so old.
  • Since I plan on living to be 135, It is young :)
  • You can not concider the age for telling Am I Old? Or Am I Young? We can be old or young in each Ege! Let or heart and or mind recognize how old we are (:
  • Age 50 is not so old, age 50 is a ripe age.
  • Young.
  • Almost close to middle age.
  • That's young.
  • I do not consider 50 old if it is middle aged or not depends on the persons outlook and attitude.
  • I'm fifty two and think age is a matter of how you feel. Some days I feel very young other days very old, but generally I feel youngish. I think your personal outlook has a lot to do with it. Young outlook, feel young etc.
  • NO! the oldest living people are 112. and thats a lil close to a half. Thats NOT old. No need to worry. And im only 12. =]]
  • You're right on the cusp. Reckon that's where the term middle age mighta come from.
  • Up to 25 is defined as young 25 to about 35 is still young yet 35 to about 48 getting there 48 to about 68 (and depends on attitude) is nearly old 68 to about 80 is sort of old Over 80 is anything you want to be
  • I say not so old. But it depends on the person. some 50 year olds ACT old and say it everyday. "I'm 50, I'm old" while others act with their heart. These people are usually better looking too because they take care of themselves and beleive, like me, that age is just a number.
  • Not so old! I have to believe that. At 42, I'm almost there!
  • It had better be at least 'not so old', because I am getting closer and closer.
