I shall perform a short Haiku: Haiku's are easy But sometimes they don't make sense Refrigerator *takes a bow* I didn't really write it, but it's a brilliant poem I felt worth sharing with all of you : P ***** Ok, I have written two entirely myself: I suck at haiku, but I shall try none-the-less. Oh sh*t, no more room! & Here is my next try, I hope that I win this time. Alas, fooled twice; shame... ***** Hehe : P

Oh How I Love Myself: Oh how I love myself, you shall never see. For I don't have anyone else, Not him. Not her. Just me. Oh, how I love myself, people will never know. When you are just this great, your cuteness seems to glow. Everyone tells me I'm so sweet. Even people that I just met. Old folk and young folks are all the same. Even little children know MY name. So you think you're good, this just may be, but there ain't no one as great as me. When I walk down the street, people bow down to kiss my feet. I'm just as cute as I can be, and of course, everyone agrees with me. People love to follow me around, and they do this without a sound. I know you all love me, oh yes, I do. but, it's too bad that I don't love you.** (see below) I only love one person you see, and that one person is only ME! There is only one tiny little thing. Every guy buys me a diamond ring. I always look my best. Even at worst, I'm better than the rest.** I seem to liven any room. Even those filled with gloom. I seem to shine really bright, and lighten up the darkest night. I know how you wish you were me.** but, too bad for you, that just can't be.** People all know that I'm so great, that I have no trouble finding a date. Oh, how I love myself. It's very plain to see. When you're as great as I am, you can't help loving me. ** this is an ode to loving one's self, and most isn't true to me.... but it rhymes!**

For Oceanator Her face was the poem, Filled with meaning, lighting my heart and defining beauty. It is written on my soul. Somehow, I know this one is true.
-
This is a poem and I wrote it for for you. I like to sow 'em, but some like to glue. Words come together without much assistance. Its poetry weather, at least from this distance.
-
Here's a poem, its not a tome.

I am never too short for words, Though some of them are for the birds, I like to rant and rave, Until one day, then it's the grave.
-
I thought all day about my rhyme - I just didn't think I'd have the time To write out something complex.. My jobs, the husband - the munchkin, and her messes... But then I stopped and I decided To take some time for me, get back to writing... For such a simple request as this I'm more than happy to grant your wish!

To fly as a butterfly in the sun, In fields as green as on day one, As free as nature's colorful flowers In the summertime's happy hours.

We feel alone Often among others I feel alone often And there are others We are all alone Even with others It's lonely Being alone So should we not end the lonliness Yes, I think we should Choose not to be alone
-
For me it's hard to write a poem, The words don't come to me. Writing in rhymes has always been, A big fat mystery. Occasionally it happens, And I am full of glee, I point it out to everyone, Who is near to me. I say "LOOK what I have done, I've made a rhyme, I'm not so dumb." They just look at me and say, "I bet this really makes your day."
-
So many ditties, odes and rhymes Have been submitted by this time That I have fear that mine shall be Lost among the endless sea Of poets' preening. Some writers witty, some writers trite Some laud the day while others, night. Some poems strive to make you grin While others, looking deep within For further meaning. My goal is simple, and as such It's insight factor won't be much. I have one simple, rebel dream -- To break the simple rhyming scheme And buck tradition. What fun is it to be a clone? To never stand aloof, alone Against the pressure to conform To common meter, foot and form? --Here's my submission.

I adore you so much, so I'm playing this string on my little guitar with only one string I sing about the ocean and the beauty of the sky and deep inside I know my love for you will never die

Well I suck at writing poetry so I found one online that I think best expresses how I feel about my friend Molly. :) BESTEST FRIEND ! When I cry you help me out When I'm happy you hear me shout When I grin you know I'm really mad because you are my best friend You can tell when I'm sad You're there in thick and thin You're my best friend You hear me out when I want to talk You help me out when I get mad You are the bestest friend I've ever had So hear me out when I say You're the light in my day You are the moon in my night You shine very bright You are the bestest friend I have and I miss you

She came here alone, scared and unsure, Would she be welcome when she walked through the door, So she stepped very tentatively inside, Hoping so fiercely for arms open wide, And there they all were for her to adore, Such warmth, such love, she just wanted more! If i were a poet One thing i would do And though i'm not witty I'll sing it to you... I would sing of the sky and the birds and the trees I would show you the mind of the oceans, and seas But the most that i wish When i look at the stars With only one thought in my mind - contemplation! To soften the hearts, All in one, Of a nation.

WOW to much rhyming for a old modernist like me! Well, here it goes: The Old Brickhouse The old brick on the window Sill Has rested for an age, Dormant, a grain in the lines Of a home, Ah, but a small breeze Topples the clay And stone, and felling The foundations, Crafted for years, moulded from The earth, Did anyone notice?

Oh flickering flame of candle a-glow, does the wind toss your head to and fro? Do you strive to stay bright with wick so low? Dance little flame, flicker awhile more, for your light is dim and shall be no more. Dance litte flame Written by my mother Sandra Christensen now deceased. It has been a year and I miss her dearly. w

Here's one I wrote years ago. Betrayal Using a needle with a long, slender point he injected my heart with his sin I looked up to the Gods and I screamed out for help as his poison bled quietly in And I cried out in the name of love but no answer came from the Gods up above He was sliding so far inside of my skin he was pushing that damn needle again until I was tearing and bleeding within I was drowning in his evil sin And he cried out in the name of love still no answer from the Gods above My soul hit the floor and it shattered apart I saw his eyes glitter as he ripped out my heart He lifted his arms and they turned into wings And he covered my body and tore it apart And we cried out together in the name of hate Betrayal and death had become my cruel fate.

Oceanator to Ocean is Gone You graced these pages A friend with kind words a spirit afloat with talent And now you are gone I miss you.
-
I wrote this one for my boyfriend: Sea-Gulls You opened my freshest page: coastal music taut heartstrings willingly I fell for your musical breadth; gallantly errant, your nautical conquest. Palm, smallest crescent back, tongue-in-cheek moon & arrow mistook for nothing accordioningly victorious over red-crossed eyelash. Your gilded waves rise-fall my ocean tides the sailor's sailing swells walk my starboard plankton and hold crusty barnacles accountable: Tightly clinging, open mouths to open hulls embrace eternal our grinning fortune.

SURE ILL WRITE U A POEM ON FRIENDS Friends Eternal You're a true friend, that I want you to know, Our love for each other has helped us to grow. We've been through some tough times, but we've made it through, The only one I ever trusted was you. You helped me through anger, you've chased away fears. You held me through sadness, and kissed away tears. You stayed by my side when the world turned away. You helped me see joy when the skies were all gray. You were the rainbow at the end of the storm. You help me be different when I shouldn't conform. You held my hand when you knew we would fall. Every heartache, you saw me through it all. I'm not sure I'm always the best friend to you, I know I'm not perfect, but this much is true. When life gets you down, And there's nowhere to turn, I'll help you through and I'll share your concern. I'll try my best to return every favor, When you're sure that you'll drown, then I'll be your lifesaver; Even if we both go down. Whether we sink or swim doesn't matter at all, Just know that I'll be there whenever you call. I'll pull you out when life pulls you under. I'll be the sun when there's lightning and thunder. And when it's all over, And we've fought every war, There's one thing I promise, Of this I am sure, When the time comes that we're put to our rest. Be sure that you know that, My friend, you're the best. And if there is Heaven, then I know you'll be there, That if you die first then you'll hear every prayer. And soon I'll join you, but just know until then. That I'll miss you each day 'til I see you again. At the end of the tunnel, you'll be my guiding light, You'll lead me to heaven, away from the night. We'll be there together, and we'll never grow old. And we'll walk hand in hand On the streets paved of gold. TE U A POEM THE TOPIC IS FRIENDS

Poem for an older man flirting with a much younger woman: Here take my picture; though I bid farewell, Thine, in my heart, where my soule dwels shall dwell. 'Tis like me now, but I dead, 'twill be more When wee are shadows both, than 'twas before. When weather-beaten I come back; my hand, Perhaps with rude oares torne, or Sun beames tann'd, My face and brest of hairecloth, and my head With cares rash sodaine hoarinesse o'rspread, My body a sack of bones, broken within, And powders blue staines scattered on my skin; If rivall fooles taxe thee to have lov'd a man, So foule and coarse, as, Oh, I may seeme then, This shall say what I was: and thou shalt say, Doe his hurts reach mee? Doth my worth decay? Or doe they reach his judging minde, that hee Should now love lesse, what he did love to see? That which in him was fair and delicate, Was but the milke, which in loves childish state Did nurse it: who now is grown strong enough To feed on that, which to disused tasts seems tough.

Choking back words, I imagine your aura, Having asked such a question, not one of fauna nor flora. So sweet you must be, for thinking of all us, squeezing our hearts and our minds just to give you a rush. Know you I not, but maybe now you know me - I would say more to fill you with glee, but the day's running short, and I've got to go pee.
