I thought that people were suppose to grow out of the fear of "monsters under your bed" when they reach their adolescence.

The Devil (the morning star) is such a powerful and luminous being that we would fall down and woship him if he appeared to us. As the most beautiful and powerful angel that was once at God's thrown, why do you think he would take the time to pursue a human being? I don't believe that he would.

Although the temptation to join the chorus of telling you to stop fearing imaginary things, imagined or not, fear is fear. You must ask yourself why do you fear the devil. Does your religion teach that the devil has the power to literally harm you? If so, does your religion teach you that the devil can harm those who put their trust in God? Finally, if you believe the devil can hurt you, shouldn't that be a minor concern since it will only send you on your way to paradise sooner?

Pray to the Lord. I do not fear the devil at all. I only fear the Lord. the devil can not beat me as I will call on God to defend me and the devil does not have a chanse. the second I call for the Lord's help, the devil is on the run.

Too much scary shows...put fears in the mind. If you keep indulging in junk food/junk shows you'll sure to end up sick in the stomach cum mental.

That's brilliant, fear gives birth to strength. this is your drive right there. you've the master of your own destiny, you are a walking angel surrounded by blue light. keep your switch on sit the devil and have a small chat with him. get to know him, finally you'll come to the realization that we are our own devils. Son, life is a mirracle, it's a gift and no one can take that away from you. so don't worry child, spread your wings and fly. i have faith in you and know that you'll always stand up for yourself and defend those in need even if you had to stand against the whole world. keep your soul intact and have faith in yourself and in your creator. life is a comedy not a tragedy. :) be good be light and live strong.

In my religion there is no devil. But assuming there is such a being, and your faith is not strong enough to guard against malign influences, then you might consider more study/prayer or guidance from a spiritual elder such as your minister/rabbi/whatever.

when I was a kid and I got scared of satan, I would say a saying from the bible. "Get thee behind me satan". I trusted that God had my back so I felt better.

Which is exactly where he wants you to be. As long as you are afraid of him, you can't see how small he really is. The best way to stop being afraid of the devil is to cling to God. The devil is already defeated. He just hasn't started serving his sentence yet.

Come to the realization that what you fear is a work of fiction writers, and in fact DOES NOT EXIST.

Really no need to be. satan is like a chained up junkyard dog. He can bark, growl, drool, jump up and down, pace back and forth, and foam at the mouth but can do you no harm as long as you stay far enough away.

If you fear the devil, you probably do not know his or your own Creator. Even he was created. He, as well as all of us will be judged for our actions by the Author of life itself.

Mock him openly. There won't be any consequences, so saying it aloud will help reassure yourself that he's too weak to actually do anything. That spineless coward!

What should you do? You should armed yourself with knowledge--that's what you and people like you should do. We are not only contemporaries of savage man in many of our current customs and benighting beliefs, we are also the victims of his leavings--various of our superstitions being the primitive fetishism that still survives to this very days. Believe what you will if it pleases you, but I'm going to tell you like this; THERE'S NO DEVIL!! That's the theologian "hawk" that has been flying to keep timid souls--like yourself-- cowering down to the ground, thinking that is the real bird of prey. You may trace every motion of it to the end of the string held in the puller's hand (Theology) and as you get closer, you'll see that is not alive. It's nothing but a bogus bug-bear, hideous, but harmless as the scarecrow in a corn field. The mythical devil was pretty much dying out until it was revived and sublimated by the theology of Luther, Calvin and this other guy named Milton. Luther and Calvin doubled the "devil" and placed one at each end of their scheme of things. They put the doctrine of dualism as perplexing as did the negro preacher who told his congregation: "There aint but two roads open for y'all--one leads directly to destruction and the other straight to perdition". Go figure! That is one of the greatest scheme of the dogma. I mean, what other way do they have to force people into thinking the way they do and to frighten them into their fold of faith for the glory of God if they have no devil? You need to understand that the so-called "devil" is a fundamental part of the Christian scheme just as much as the so-called "Resurrection of Christ"--no "devil"....no "Redeemer"

Find an even more powerful Protector. Jesus already defeated Satan at the Cross. And He will not let him harm His Children.

leave your trust on god.isnt he the creater of all things?if someone so powerful is with you,who is against you? no weapon formed against you shall prosper(dont meaan it wont attack,but it wont prevail) if you believe in him and trust him.
