  • Yes, I was in a Japanese samurai parade at a major temple in Japan. I was a slave to the beautiful princess, so I had to walk behind her carrying a giant umbrella to shield her sensitive porcelain skin from the harmful UV rays of the sun. We walked around the city for two days, and I was really knackered!! The first day, I had a hangover from the night before and my head was pounding. She was the highlight of the parade and was constantly stopping to pose for photos, so naturally I had to stop too, holding this thing. By the end of the parade I felt like braining her with it! LOL
  • Yeah...with my doggie-girl Hannah. We were in the Hometown Christmas Parade. There are no motorized vehicles in this parade...only horses. A lot of draft horses pulling wagons, or sleighs if there's enough snow! It was started by one man, as a way to "give back" to his community here in eastern PA. His son carries it on, as Santa...they hand out oranges to the kids and old folks to gather...the whole town turns out...it was a lot of fun.. Even walking about 3 miles in the cold, with Hannah decked out in jingle bells, prancing because I'm sure she didn't care for the leg bells on her hocks!

My baton was frozen in may hand. All I had to wear was my majorette outfit, no coat. It was my first and last. Nothing short of a gun to my head will make me be in another parade.
