I've had these in the past: Polly the parrot (cliche', I know, but cool) Skeezix the cat. (grey and white alley cat) Gypsy the cat. (pure black shorthair) Skipper the cat. (orange fluffy persian tom) Matt the cat (When he meowed, he could only say "mat"...nothing else.) Simba the cat (an orange tiger striped tom) Sam the dog (or Sam the shepherd) Rex the dog (my current pup...I've always liked the name Rex, this dog really "looks like" a Rex)

I have two English Springer Spaniels. One is 3 years old and the other is 4 1/2 months old. We live on a lake so we called our first puppy "Splash" and she has lived up to her name. The next puppy we called Skeeter. Don't know why. Probably because the name Splash was already taken.

Jarvis. I love that name, especially for a dog. I don't have one, I used to, its name was Blaze(my mom had him before I was born) I watched him die right in front of me. He layed down in the middle of my kitchen while my mother was cooking, and 5 seconds later, he was dead.

I heard a guy called his dog Zachary. He said it was because it was so ugly that its face was Zachary the same as its rear. LOL

G'day Laughoutloudx3, Thank you for your question. It really depends on the type of dog you have. For example, I think Buster would be a good name for a playful dog. Regards

I just name my animals after famous people (real or fictional). The odd thing is that the animal usually has the same character traits as the person they are named after, even when I name them before I know them five minutes.
