Have you ever taken anything from a dump site, brought it home and fixed it up to use? If so what?

    my husband and i found our first dresser in a dumpster, it was solid wood with cigarette burns but we used it for 15 years until giving it to a friend, who uses it now.

    we got a computer desk from our local tip they was asking £30 we got 4 £5 and a cd rack 4 free we also use a coffee table, a tv unit and another cd rack from there

    The few things I've taken from the large item refuse bins that we have in our developement a few times a year, didn't need to be repaired. People were throwing away filing cabinets and tables that I have in my basement.
