I worked as an AA in CA CPS. And I don't think you can. At least from what I understand you have to have a msw to become an actual social worker. But if you have connections in FC&A have one of them see if a SW they know might be able to help you. I know Stanisluas county offers a program that assists with funding and guarantees a job for 2 years. Maybe there is one where you live. Call any local contacts and see if they can offer you more specific advise. Also alot of community resource centers offer entry level positions for people who end up as a SW somewhere else, or have access to retired SWs that might know something. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Start working in a nonprofit organization no matter what is the work profile. Get some experience first then decide which field exactly you want

Type "foster care jobs + (your city)" in your favorite search engine, such as google, yahoo, ask.com You can take a job that is not social worker, but then find out if they will pay you to finish your college requirements. That's what my former husband did.
