  • I usually confront them, but there are a few, I just avoid, because they always cause trouble and they arent worth my time. My friends know me, so I am not to worried about what an idiot says about me.
  • Here on AB, I would suggest you go through the typical routes (e.g. report it via feedback or find a CL) and I would avoid further contact. On other sites that there may not be the same avenues available I would steer as clear as I could. P.S. what does nb mean?
  • I respond with....arson...
  • Being a man and a strong one at that I tend to just leave for generally speaking it will come to blows not me them. Anyway I don't really want to hurt these people just because they insist they are correct even thou they can't validate their position with facts. So if I disagree or point out a valid argument or fact they go crazy and attack me. The short version.
  • I don't. I remember my dad's words lo' these many years ago..he always said "consider the source". So I do. He also said that "everyone tries to do his best..it's just that some people's 'best' isn't very good." That's my dad, may he rest in peace.
  • I only had a couple instances of this happening in my professional career, and thankfully, my personality, near insane work ethic and prior work experience were all that was needed to fend off the ineffective attack. On AB, I suppose there may be those that do not approve of me, my avatars or flirtatious nature...but no one has been bold enough to say it directly in print and since I longer look at ratings, I'm oblivious to any ongoing attack. Oblivion is bliss.
  • I can get pigheaded. I try working on it and shoving it down into the hole it should stay in but it can come out. I am so far away from perfection that I am amazed I can still accurately spell it lol! You find people accusing you of things that are not true all because they do not agree with your way of thinking or you have stated something against what they have said and instead of bending, they go for personal attacks based off who they think you are, not who you are. I know I can get rather lippy and then find that I was wrong and be like well, hell. .. but you do it and move on. I do not attack things I have learned about them previously because another's pain is not my gain. If they are being a butt to me in the moment, I will call them on it. I find myself going into defensive mode like "hey, you turd! I am nothing like that" but I am learning that people just want to think negatively because that is how they would rather think instead of turning things around. If someone states something as a fact and you can prove it is not a fact.. instead of again, bending, they would rather keep it negative and call you the bad person. That is someone not wanting to accept things and probably have a hard time with reality because reality is.. we are ALL wrong at times. It is admitting it that makes us strong.
  • I sick my flying monkeys on them and turn them to stone
  • In my job, I work at a call center. Thankfully, some of the less-than-pleasant people can't see the look on my face when they get nasty (over something usually out of our control, but they, of course, use us as punching bags). Nor can they see us flip them off, or hit the mute button and signal a supervisor to listen in on the call. I clench my teeth and remain calm...that's my job, after all. If I talked to them the way they talk to some of us, I'd get fired. I try to get them to calm down and walk through the problem step by step...go through facts and details, make calls, whatever necessary. Here, I try to do the same thing. But, for some folks with a short fuse, they feel "safe" behind their computer screens and let loose with tirades, attacks, verbal abuse and threats, and juvenile name-calling that I find shocking. I try to calmly reason with some folks, but some hate-filled people don't like reasoning...or facts...or truth. So, I then flag them and send feedback and give a heads up to others who may be confronted with the "hot-head."
