  • Well at least it's not this bad... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrFW2aYHVR8 Love her or hate her you have to admit it took balls to do that!
  • I would like to see/hear it sang by regular everyday people/groups/choirs who are nominated based on their unpaid heroism, service, or achievements to preserve the ideals of America along with a donation to their cause. They may not be all that polished but they would be very appreciated.
  • The heart and soul that goes into it is more important to me than flawless technique. Too many sign by rote (pitch perfect) but seem to feel nothing as they sing. That is sad to me.
  • I'm not sure whom you consider a pop star. I think Christina Aguilera has a beautiful voice and would do a great job. I heard Jennifer Hudson sing it a few weeks ago and she was amazingly brilliant..did a beautiful job. Are they pop stars or something else! :)
  • Anyone should be able to sing it. I can tell you, as a combat veteran: Nobody can yank tears out of my eyes the way they come out when someone's 5th grade elementary student choir stands tall and belts it out with pride.
  • All I know is that the day they have Miley Cyrus...or her dad sing the anthem, I'm killing something.
  • Oh yes indeed! Then the whole thing would be over in like twenty minutes and we can go down the pub! :D They do draw it out rather, hey?
  • Great question! I believe it should be sung from the heart as one who believes the words and what it stands for and sings it as it was meant to be sang. I hate when I hear it slaughtered by some pop-diva trying to do her(/his) own "interpretation" for personal attention and gain. I'd much rather hear it sung by a member of the U.S. Armed Forces who offer up themselves for what the National Anthem is all about, than someone who may have more respect for another country that perhaps their album or concert sales are doing better in.
