If police report was filed for fraud/identity theft how long does it take dept. to investigate they are falsely accusing me can i file a report.they agreed to open cc's & i have addl. card in my name paid on time,i cant pay their mortgage too so she's mad

It all depends on the case load of the Detective Bureau, or if he patrol officer who took the report is investigating it him/herself and whether the investigator finds any merit in the allegations. As far as you filing a report against them, unless you are arrested and completely exonerated of any wrong doing, you have no recourse, the officer who took the report would have to file a report on them for falsely reporting an incident, and it would depend on how he/she could prove that they filed the report intentionally giving false information. It is a very hard thing to prove, so I would guess that it won't happen. If you are arrested and the allegations turn out to be false, you can go after them civilly.
