Yes, I do. Jesus was her Son, and Jesus is God, so therefore, through the transitive property, Mary is the Mother of God. =]
-
God sent his only son to become man. I have always believed that Mary is not the mother of God the father, but of Jesus his son who is God-like. So in a way she is the mother of God, just not God that most people think of.
-
No I beleive that Mary is the mother of Christ not God. She gave birth to Jesus Chirst, whom God sent down to us. Now yes Jesus was God himself in human form, but I do not beleive that made her the mother of GOD. I beleive that we are created in his image and have God within us, but we are seperate from him as Jesus was. Remember that in scriptures he says that he sent his son. Well those are my thoughts.

Yes. Jesus said "I and the Father are One" (John 10:30). Mary was his mother. 'Nuff said.
-
No, Mary is Jesus' mother. Jesus is the Son. God is the Father. That is how I see it.
-
No i don't i beleive that this religion started by someone a long time a just said a lie and the lie got bigger and bigger and than it became huge

No I do not. In the Bible, Jesus Christ is never called “God the Son” but the “Son of God.” He proved to be exactly what the angel Gabriel told Mary: “You are to conceive and bear a son, and you must name him Jesus. He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High. . . . The Holy Spirit will come upon you . . . and the power of the Most High will cover you with its shadow. And so the child will be holy and will be called Son of God.”—Luke 1:31, 32, 35, JB. Noteworthy, too, is Mary’s own attitude. In due humility, she spoke of herself as the “handmaid of the Lord.” (Luke 1:38, JB) Because of her being favored to bear the Son of God, Mary said to her relative Elizabeth: “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord and my spirit exults in God my saviour; because he has looked upon his lowly handmaid.” (Luke 1:46-48, JB) So Mary viewed herself, not as the “mother of God,” but as God’s “lowly handmaid.” Clearly, Mary was the mother of Jesus, the Son of God. She was not the mother of God the Father. Source: Scriptures cited from the Jerusalem Bible.

I believe that Mary is the mother of Jesus. Although Jesus was God in the flesh, Jesus is the son of God. It is very confusing and I don't confess to understand it all. My dad has been a Sunday school teacher all my life, and my brother is a pastor. We get into all kinds of theological discussions everytime we are all together. I just sit there and try to take it all in and retain some of what they're saying. So, my answer is no, I don't believe Mary is the mother of God, but she is the mother of Christ who died for our sins because his father, God, told him that's what needed to be done. That's what I believe.

Does it matter what way you look at that particular topic? I see it that God allowed Mary to birth his son Jesus Christ, so in that sense, no she isn't God's father,BUT God is the holy trinity The Father The Son and The Holy Ghost, so in that sense yes she is. The truth of the matter is, in my eyes, it isn't the importance on whether she is the mother of God or not, she is the Mother of our one and only Salvation, and it states without Jesus there is no way to the Father. To me that is what is important.
-
Well, I don't even believe in God if that tells you anything.
-
G-d is everything. How could he have a mom?
