Tom Jones did an awesome cover of "Kiss" by Prince with Art of Noise doing the music. I also remember a video for an instrumental piece of theirs. It involved a young kid walking by railroad tracks banging on things. I can't remember the name of the tune but I really like it. Other than that I know nothing of Art of Noise. BTW I'm not a big Tom Jones fan. Edited to add - The piece I couldn't remember is Close To The Edit http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sFK0-lcjGU

I remember them from the 80s. They had some video where this seemingly 10 year old girl and the band were in this junkyard, and the only line in the song is when she yelled "Hey!" Was actually catchy. Forgot the name of said song, for it's been a couple decades.

Great band. However I like Age of Chance's cover of Kiss better. Age Of Chance - Kiss http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBgQNfOa684 Tom Jones was good in this though. Burnin' Down The House http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Vh3SmpAcVg

The music of Art of Noise (AON, for short) was eclectic, so it's hard to say who exactly sounds like them in total since their sound ranged from techno to pop with elements of jazz, rock, and other genres mixed in (along with cars, motorcycles, footsteps, and other sound samples). The group also fielded different lineups over time, with each combination offering a different sound. The group "Yello" offers the closest thing I've heard of anyone coming somewhat close to AON's "total" sound on a consistent basis since they are almost about as wide-ranging, musically (personal opinion). Some posters note that AON is a purely 80s band. That may be arguable given that AON returned in the late 1990s for the album, "The Seduction of Claude Debussy," and again (in part) for the Prince's Trust benefit in 2004. At that point it was Trevor Horn and Ann Dudley, along with at least one of the unseen musicians who helped define their early sound. Horn and Lol Creme (another AON musician) are currently members of a group called "The Producers." As for the video, I recall that it was shot in New York on an unused freight line called the "High Line" located on the West Side of Manhattan. The structure of the High Line runs through buildings in the area since it functioned as an elevated freight transport line. The song was "Close to the Edit."
