Help answer this question below.
As a qualified CISCO trainer I think it would have to be really bad for me to seek help LOL
i honestly start praying LOL
I usually look for answers on the internet first.
Then I may call a friend.
Finally, if it is hardware problem, I have a technician that is very good.
My best friend is a computer engineer...bingo...they are good things to have.
Fix it myself
I go to myself, because I have taught myself much about computer repair/hardware/software installing and upgrading. I even opened up my own hobby/business of refurbishing and reselling computers. I have saved my own self hundreds of dollars, just by self on-the-job-training. So, whenever I have a computer problem, unless it is a serious motherboard issue, I just go look at myself in the mirror and say, "self, fix your computer!" And, so far, so good!
The internet.
My Husband.
Me.
When I have computer problems I fix them. Sometimes I go to the internet to look for things I've not encountered before.
When my friends have problems, they come to me.
You wouldn't believe how many people has help me on here.
i wiil solve the problem myself.
because i am the computer student.
No one, I'm a stubborn one, except when I couldn't get this computer running I took it to my school's computer techs, free and experienced.
There is a free tech. help online I use techguy.org.
If they don't help me and I am desperate I use www.plumchoice.com. It's not free online help, but they are very knowledgeable and efficient.
If we are absolutely stuck we use plumchoice.com.
My husband.
hi there, i sometimes use a friend whos a computer geek,he doesthe fixing and rebooting for me,that is when i can get him to come over, hes dragging his feet!i recently lost a favoriet website two months ago.this guy said hed fix it and i havent seen him yet!
I go to myself. Beyond that, the internet has a wealth of information.
Myself, I'll fix it myself... I've never used anyone else...
We use a company in Homewood, Illinois by the name of
Homewood Computer Exchange. We had had satisfactory work done by their techicians, and they stand behind the work that they do with no hesistancy.
Their number is 708 799 5300 and the address is: 18243
Harwood Ave., Homewood, Illinois 60430. The wonderful
technician's name is Steve.
Hope this helps you.
Me. If it's a problem with a component I just bought (like a router) then I call the company's tech support. I hate calling for help (mostly because of the wait times and language barriers), but sometimes it's necessary.
I also find that internet forums (found through google searches) are very helpful for odd problems. Like when my laptop was freezing every 30 seconds and dell tech support was ZERO help, a forum I found gave me the answer within 20 seconds.
My brother, he's really good with computers (I'm lucky, he saves me alot of money)
My sister.
Her work involves a lot of handling problems about computer stuff so I get a lot of help... for free :)
I fix it myself. What else.
I know that others will charge me for repairing, but why to waste money, if you can learn how to fix it by yourself.
Get to know the problem, Get to know your machine, Analyze and compare, and voila! The whole day got spent, but atleast the PC works again.
But if you have Mac and it gets broken, the nightmare will begin, .. the world, .. will end...
I can usually fix it myself, if I get stuck on something, I usually go to a website which has great support for free→
http://www.techguy.org/welcome.html
If they cannot help I go to microsoft and enter my question in the proper forum.
I'm tech support for this family.
My sister
My buddy Gino
A kid named Dustin down at the flea-market.
I go to my son, usually.
Well, if it isn't something I can fix, and it'd have to be a pretty big issue, I'd call JML or Douggy D! :)
There's plenty of go to guys @ school that can help for $20~ $40 plus parts.
in general myself
for parts I go to newegg or buy.com,tigerdirect.com or comp-u-bits if I buy local as I can buy at 10% above cost or Frys
ans then if I really need special help I can take to computer school where I have intructor and 3 other techs help
For parts, I usually get them online and for repairs ... me!
Friends at work usually.
I will normally call Thomas who is always interested in trouble shooting computer problems. If the problems remain unresolved, I will go to the professionals.
My friend Jed. He can talk in binary.
The same person as all my friends - me.
NASA?
With over 25 years of experience with working with all kinds of computers, I don't have to go any further than myself. I have a whole bookcase filled with books that give trouble shooting answers for PCs, Macs, and Linux platforms.
my bf
If I just need parts, I go to http://www.geeks.com.
If I need support and have a warranty, I would call the manufacturer.
If I need support and don't have a warranty, I'd go to Google, and then to these silly answer sites. :)
I call ME!! Whey-hey ( not that it often does go wrong - it wouldn't DARE....)
I usually call Computer Palace in Los Angeles right away. I've been their customer since 1995 and I'm very satisfied with their performance. Incase you don't live near L.A. you can also give them a call because they can do remote desktop connection to repair your computers. You can call them at (310) 966-9099. www.cp4.com
i just dive in and fix it.
When my friends have problems, they call me.
Puter Busters!
I go to myself first. If I get stumped (it has happened) I ask a friend who is a bigger geek than I am. If he can't figure it out, I go online.
So far I've taken care of our computers, but someday, I'll get too brain dead, then I'll just stop using the darn things.
i call a coumpter tech to come out and work on mine
I fix all of my problems, execpt for replacing laptop hardware.
Here's a site that will give you a list of free online tech support:
http://www.techsupportalert.com/best_free_tech_support_sites.htm
It depends on the problem ...
you may want to bookmark this site techguy.org.
Depending on your operating system and a browser you use you can post your question on the Forum.'
Windows Vista has Forum. Firefox has Forum. Explorer has Forum.
Just google them, and register when you find a right one. If you want e-mail me or PM, I'll give you a link.
You last resort is to use www.plumchoice.com. Example of using Plumchoice: I could not perform a System Restore on my computer. It turned out a virus in that very file tha neither anti-virus program could get rid of it. Plumchoice.com takes over your computer, and you watch them manipulating inside your computer... they deleted this virus in system restore file.
I don't need anything but my brain and my own two hands.
You can just ask the geek squad, they give online remotely help or they can also come to you. You can ask help at any time they are 24/7.
