That chocolate is usually the answer to everything.

I agree, it takes strength and courage, to do the right things and take care of your responsibilities, whether you like it or not.

In regards to heroes, there's a quote I like best: "And Lord knows, everyone needs a hero. Courageous, self-sacrificing people. Setting examples for all of us. Everybody loves a hero. People line up for them, cheer them, scream their names. And years later, they'll tell how they stood in the rain for hours just to get a glimpse of the one who taught them how to hold on a second longer. I believe there's a hero in all of us, that keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble, and finally allows us to die with pride, even though sometimes we have to be steady, and give up the thing we want the most. "

I don't have to be a hero to everybody, just to the ones I care about the most. I agree about what heroes should do which is exactly what I am doing. In regards to happiness, I really wouldn't know. I have never been in a happy wonderful situation.

Heroes are made by situations and things that need doing. The hero will do what needs to be done without thought to his/her self. They usually are quite ordinary people. The happiest people make the most of everything and are satisfied with their role and what they have. Whatever that happens to be. They usually are happiest doing for others.

I believe you get back ten fold than what you give out.

I believe that people get angry and upset way too often. Like traffic for example. It's just a line of cars. No matter how stressed or angry you get it, it isn't going to move any faster or slower. I base my life on this line: "To let that which does not matter truely slide." There are so many things that people let bother them that just shouldn't. And I always try to be nice and respectful from my end. Even if someone is extreamly mean or rude to me. Some people say, that's letting people walk all over you. I think it takes more strength to remain calm then to let them control you and be rude. I simply don't give them permission to aggrivate or annoy me. Not much to do with heroes, but it's what I believe.

I believe you are ABsolutly correct! Heros do the right thing even when no one is looking. Happy people CHOOSE to be happy. :)

I would always do what needs to be done myself, but i would not concider myself to be a hero in anyway ever. To help someone is just second nature to me. I am a happy person, generally, and that is the way i like to portray myself, even when things are not going so well. It stops people worrying about you then. My problems are insignificant compared to others.

Happy is wanting what you have. Hero/heroine..going out to work every day joyfully and taking care of your responsibilities everyday. That's it in a nutshell for me. Happy Saturday! :) ((hugs))

I believe mankind is really stupid...we spend our lives focusing on all the wrong things and we don't know whats real until right before we die. Not to contradict my first belief, but I also think you only live once so live it to the fullest... I believe a life without knowledge is not being well spent... and I believe I'm a burrito :)

I agree with you 100%, VSAngle--couldn't have said it better myself! I'd like to add that I see quiet heroes everyday, the spouses/family members who step up to the plate to caretake an elderly family member suddenly struck with dementia or another all=consuming illness. These people give up a significant portion of their own lives to give back to the ones they love and a simple thank you from a stranger makes their entire day brighter...

I couldn't agree more with you. A great example of that first part is President Bush. He had the courage anc convictions to stand up for what he believed was the right thing to do in spite of the overwhelming opposition. My hero is the American soldier who unselfishly answers the call to duty and sacrifices much in order to ensure we here at home continue to enjoy all the freedoms that make the United States such a great nation.
